I am a complete novice and would recommend this product highly. This is a very good brand. I didn't know this until after I bought. Plus I didn't realise how difficult mirrors were beforehand either. Damn. I learned a ton and have a lot more confidence doing other panels but the mirrors took me a couple hours each to get right. I took them off the vehicle which was probably a huge mistake. But this product was very forgiving and I was able to restart, heat up and reapply many time over to get something that looks decent. I ended up with a few finger folds but for my first time but I am happy with it. Much smoother than any spray wrap would have been and much cheaper than having a pro do it. A lot of fun overall. Worth every penny. It looks great on the top of my windshield and was very easy to install. No bubble problems and sticks on perfect. I clean the windshield with a razor blade and soap and water. Then used a spray mixture of water with a drop of baby soap to apply it once I had it in place I started squeegeeing out the mixture and it looks amazing. ... show more

Texture of this product is very useful when living in Arizona. It also very easy to use even if one is doing the work alone. The quality of this product is very forgiving even with wrinkles.

    • Should have been easier to use than it was. User error. Steep learning curve.

Likely this is a newbie error, but this product should have been easier to use than it initially was. First of all I wasted the first 3 inches of the roll because there was scotch tape taping the open end to the rest of the roll and I thought it was "intended" to be cut off. Then when I smoothed out the film it looked "scratched" from my squeegie. I thought this was due to "delicate film" and started over, using just my hand to smooth this out. THEN..... I discovered that there is a clear protective film on top of the actual black film that is intended to be removed. Duh! the scotch tape was only affecting the clear protective film and the scratches I installed were only on the protective film. Wasted alot of this and now basically need another roll to finish the job. So this first roll was mostly for "practice" I guess. No where in the instructions does it say there is a protective clear film and no other vinyl I've worked with before has protective outer film on it. I was pretty pleased with the wrap of my door pillars. It was my first time and any original mistakes during installation were my faulty (imprecise cuts). I overworked some places trying to get the wrap deeper into a crease in the pillar and ended up with surface marks, but again, my fault. However, a couple days later, after being parked in the sun for a few hours, a 1/2” bubble appeared. Once the wrap cooled, it deflated, but left a very noticeable mark from where the outer bubble edge didn’t quite deflate. Tried to rub it out and apply heat to “self-heal”, but no luck. I’ll live with it, cuz I don’t feel like redoing it. It’s a Porsche, so I should prob care more, but I don’t lol. If I do redo the pillars later, I’ll try a different brand. I purchased this small roll to protect some areas on my motorcycle subject to scratching. It was very easy to install and I purchased felt tipped squeegees to smooth it out (It always helps to have the proper tools, you know). Now, I'm looking for more projects to use the film on. I watched a couple Youtube videos on vinyl film application first, and I encourage anyone to do so prior to application for the first time. ... show more
