  • Not Just For Boats and Cars!
Color: Gloss White
We have a tub surround that was done in three pieces. The guy who did it glued it to a plaster wall and then did a crap job of caulking. I have tried caulk, sealants and caulk tape. All of it is a mess and not easy to remove and replace. This time, I filled the major gaps from his bad jobs with caulk and let it dry for a week. Because of his job, this looks like hell. Then it hit me, I have used this to replace the boot stripe on my boat. It sticks like crazy and is waterproof. Yup, it's around the tub! I creased it in half before taking off the backing, then rolled it back up. Started at one end of the surround and carefully tucked into the corner as I went. The pre-crease helps with this. Went around and burnished it down. It looks neat, clean and you can no longer see the bad job underneath it. We use the same products to clean our surround as the boat, so this should hold up great.-Been on and no peeling, wipes clean like the surround does. ... show more

  • Beautiful shine
Color: Silver Chrome
I can't use this for what I wanted it for, because it does not adhere very much. I think that if I try to use another adhesion product with it that it may be distorted. I may have to purchase this type of material in sheets for my purpose. This should have worked, but for the extremely weak adhesion. ... show more

  • Poor Edge Quality
Color: Matte Black
Let me start out by saying that this is my first review I ever wrote. It's just that the quality of the edges were SO BAD that I had to say something. I read the other reviews before buying, but I've used other VViViD vinyl before and thought "how bad can it be? I'm sure it's an over exaggeration". Boy was I wrong. The roll appears to be cut with a saw of some sort. The edges were so bad, it made the roll totally unusable for what I bought it for. (See the pictures!) It's a shame because the vinyl itself is very good. I ended up trimming it down by hand and using it for a different application. If VViViD is going to stay in the business of vinyl tape, they should invest in the equipment to make a quality product. Guess I'll end up buying again from a different vendor to finish the original job. ... show more

  • Not the easiest wrap to work with (read full review)
Color: Matte White
The seller was great, my issue is with the product. I’ve used vvivid brand wrap countless times and it’s by far my favorite, however, I was highly displeased with this particular type or version. For starters it didn’t feel like all the other vvivid products I’ve used (maybe an older version..? Not sure). Typically, you tape off the areas surrounding the section being wrapped which prevents the wrap from sticking. Then once you apply a small amount of heat you’re able to gently lift the wrap because it doesn’t adhere to the tape very well. The same typically applies to most rubber around the windows, etc., because vinyl wrap usually doesn’t stick to rubber sills very well… oh, that wasn’t the case with this product. The adhesive left a residue on the rubber trim when I would attempt to lift around the edges and tuck it into the seams. The adhesive that was left behind on the rubber seemed to almost ball up into tiny little pieces when I tried removing it. And yes, I use a high quality bug & tar remover as well as isopropyl alcohol - which typically takes adhesive off like a charm. The adhesive was entirely too much for a automotive wrap… maybe the aeronautical engineers at NASA should try using this stuff on rockets 🤷🏻♂️. I could have lived with a little extra cleanup but on top of the adhesive mess I also found that it was literally impossible to squeegee the smaller air bubbles out, which has never been the case with ANY of the other vvivid products I’ve used. I assume the excessive adhesive prevented the air pockets from escaping when trying to squeegee them out. After trying to work with this stuff for several hours I threw in the towel. I was left with a lot of adhesive to clean away from the tiny seams and a wrap job that looked like my 12 yr old daughter did it. Anyway, sorry for the long review - just wanted to be thorough in my explanation in hopes that it helps someone else using this particular style of product. (Seller - really sorry for the 3 stars 😕) ... show more

  • Maybe I'm too inexperienced?
Color: Gloss Pink
I was scared to get this after reading so many reviews of pissed off people. I bought it anyways. I'm glad I did. It's perfect. I don't understand how complaints are so plentiful. Maybe I just don't know enough to understand how aweful they say it is?? I have no experience in wrapping a car. But I decided to try it anyways. My work clearly has issues (with the whole car wrap, not this tape) but it got easier as I kept on trying it again on different sections. This tape is easier than wrapping. I used it on a honda accord side runners. About 6" on each side. The width of the tape is perfect. I did used an adhesive promoter on a couple spots due to clear coat flaking and I didn't sand it completely smooth. The spots were rather small and the purpose of taking on a job like that was to hide the ugly paint. So, it did its job. What I have learned is being wrap or tape, use the heat gun on it BEFORE removing the backing. Low heat, not enough to heat it to touch. But enough to relax it. It's been wound for awhile so relax it. It will still want to roll back up when u remove the backing, but not like without heat. It's easier to maneuver and lays flatter with ease. I will say this, if you're serious on wrapping a whole car or just decals, buy more than what's needed and don't be afraid of starting over. Mistakes will happen and won't be fixable. But the next time, it'll be 100% better. Don't think you'll be able to take on a job and nail it on the first try. That thinking will only make your blood boil when it don't happen as planned. ... show more
