I first bought this in 2017 after buying my Honda Accord used with 10k miles. The car was hardly used, but whoever detailed the car scratched the interior plastics. I was hoping this would cover the scratches as well as add a custom look to the interior to match my blue exterior color. This was my first time messing with vinyl wraps. I can't say the wrapping process was easy, but this wrap was easy to work with. I tested out a few pieces on some smaller plastic sections, first with a hair dryer. There were only 2 pieces I had to start over with. The vinyl melted just enough with the use of a hair dryer, that I didn't feel I needed a heat gun. A few test tries to stretch and mold the plastic with a hair dryer actually ended up with the vinyl stretching to the point of turning clear. Ultimately, I LOVE the way the vinyl wrap turned out. If you don't have experience with vinyl, my best advice would be to test it out on something small first and be patient. I let the pieces I finished sit for a few hours to ensure I smoothed out wrinkles and bubbles before reinstalling them in my car. I rushed the last few pieces towards the end, so I have 2-3 small bubbles to correct now. As an update to my previous review, I actually had this vinyl wrap on my car for 6 YEARS!!! I'll admit, the vinyl didn't exactly look fresh anymore with small knicks and cuts and a faded color from 6 years of baking in the sun. I fully expected the plastic panels under the vinyl would should a bit of age on them as well, but that wasn't the case for all but one. The vinyl adhesive did get a bit more stubborn after 6 years, but I have to admit I'm highly impressed that I have LITERALLY abused this vinyl for 6 years and it's protected my car for a $20 investment. One panel did get damaged from the vinyl adhesive--the console cover lid had some peeling paint prior to applying the vinyl (I cleaned everything THOROUGHLY with alcohol prior to install), but when removing the vinyl, 60% of the factory black paint on the panel came off with the vinyl. My car had less than 15k miles when I installed this vinyl and over 100k when I finally removed it, though, so I can't complain. All-in-all I'd HIGHLY recommend this vinyl for quality, price, and longevity/durability.

Used this to re-wrap an 18" floor tom shell. This was just an experiment so I wasn't expecting much, but had I known it would be this unforgiving with the underlying surface I would have spent quite a bit more time sanding it down to a perfectly smooth finish (or I probably would have just put the vinyl wrap on top of the existing wrap rather than going down to the wood). The adhesive is not the best, it doesn't really want to stick to wood very well at all, I would imagine it does much better on smooth surfaces like metal or plastic. All that said- I love the finish so much I will probably redo this drum shell, but next time give it a good sanding/primer pass so it sticks better and is nice and smooth. I was worried it would be too purple/pink and have a Barbie vibe, but it's pretty dark overall except where the light hits it, and then you get that pearlescent effect.

I've bought a few vinyls from Vvivid and I've loved them all. We have a few used cars and the interiors were a little messed up from previous owners so I used vinyl to cover up the trim pieces that were a bit worn. It gave the car a whole new look and really puts a personal touch to the interior as well. The vinyl its self is easy to work with, just take your time and use heat (like a blow dryer) to help adhere the vinyl as well as help it conform to curves. I also found that pre-stretching the vinyl with heat helped it around difficult curves. I've posted a few pictures of one project I did for reference. Vvivid also has amazing customer service, they are very helpful if you are having trouble working with the product or just want to find out more. I wouldn't buy any other brand.

The colors on it are amazing and very nice it is a little tricky putting it on you need the right stuff too put it on Definitely a heat gun. Its mine and my husband first time wrapping and it looks great I would definitely say worth buying!

Used on windshield as a sunscreen. Application was easy an air release works great. My gripe is that it constantly looks purple. Maybe because it is on the top of the windshield, but it does not shift or change color at all. Secondly i used 3m 5d carbon fiber wrap on door pillars an the chameleon carbon fiber is no where close to the 3m. I would buy vivvid products again though.

Seriously, the poor reviews about the adhesive not being sticky enough and the air-release channels not working like magic are ridiculous. First, the adhesive is made to be less sticky until heat is applied in order to make it easier to reposition. If you bother to look at any of the information that either comes with the vinyl or is easily accessible on the manufacturer website, it's right there. As far as the air-release you can't just throw it on there and expect no bubbling, especially on curved or oddly shaped surfaces. Come on, do you want the wrap to apply itself too?? With a bit of effort both before and during application, this vinyl is simple to work with and looks great once properly applied. I'm not a professional but I found it easy to work with and achieve excellent results comparable to more expensive vinyl wraps. Photos show my 2009 MINI Cooper Clubman with vinyl applied by me using a box cutter, a crafters-grade heat gun, and an old gift card. Steering wheel trim pieces were removed to wrap but the fuel door and panels were done on the vehicle.
