I wasn't willing to buy the Rubbermaid ones yet and these were way more affordable. The circle opening is difficult to open so it might not be good for young children helping themselves to cereal. The labels (while chalkboard-esk) are impossible to erase after a few weeks but it does come with a lot of extra labels. My husband dropped one the day we got these and the edge shattered so it wouldn't stay closed (super glue wouldn't fix it either because of the small pieces around where it needed to snap shut and airtight). These are great for the price but I will definitely upgrade to Rubbermaid some day. ... show more

Exactly what I wanted to keep cereal fresh longer between purchasing and using it. This does the trick! I filled 2 containers at the same time. I was finishing one container of cereal and it was starting to get stale in the container. But to be honest it's been opened and closed numerous times dispensing cereal over about 2 months and I live in a tropical environment. The second one I just opened and it was as if I'd opened a new package of cereal. This is a WIN for me as it does help to keep cereal and any contents fresher longer and will save money. My second set, one box of cereal from one of the warehouse stores will need 2 containers to accommodate it. Overall they seem super sturdy as do the latches and the seals. Better quality; fairly solid, no manufacturing flaws. The flip-up lid has a square trough around the round rubber seal; this trough gets bits in it which can block the lid from sealing.

Too tall for cabinets and as far as Airtight storage and leak proof,I will have to get back to you because I just got them and have not filled them with flour or sugar yet to find out the answer to thoes questions.

Great see through storage containers for all cereals and snacks. I use for chips, cookies and other snacks even if I can't shake them out. It locks in freshness for all dry goods. I have only 2 minor complaints: 1) the lids aren't the easiest to snap in place but practice makes perfect 2) the containers don't stack snugly side by side; they want their own space. When I try to stack close they tend to want to lean. Figure that one out!?? ... show more
