I have really short shelves in my kitchen and was looking for containers that would fit. Thought I would try these out. Looking at the pictures provided in the description, they looked bigger than they actually are. I read the description, but I like to see them when you have something to compare them to like hands or something that you may readily have around the house to compare it to. Well they came in and are much smaller than expected. I will have to order one size bigger (I think they are still short enough to fit in the cupboard) for items like cereal and rice. I've been super pleased with these storage containers. I use them for rice and Huel Hot and Savory meals. They typically only hold food for about a month before they're emptied and cleaned. All of my containers were in perfect condition and the lids have all held up. My biggest concerns were the seals used and the tabs that hold the lids in place. Both have performed perfectly without any damage. 6 months with no issues seems pretty great to me. They also stack perfectly with each other so that's another huge win for me. The containers were smaller than I thought but, I'm good with that. I'm a baker they're perfect for all the random open packages of chips and nuts I have opened in bags. They stack great on top of each other to save space.

    • How to get them apart!

These are excellent fairly large canisters. The largest arrived pushed into each other so hard that no brute force by two people separated them. Don’t let that deter you… fill the inner canister with hot tap water to make it more pliable. Then wedge your fingers between them, on the side. Fill the lower canister with hot water until they come apart easily. That said, the four “smaller” canisters will not hold 5 pounds of flour. I wish they did. The other two larger sizes will. They are good canisters but the large ones are very large. Note the sizes, there are 3 sizes. I like these and I’m happy I bought them. ... show more
