I’ve used quite a few portable power stations, and one thing I’ve learned is that the biggest problem with them is sometimes the “portable” part. A lot of these things are basically small refrigerators with handles. The VTOMAN Jump 600X takes a much more practical approach. At just under 10 pounds and roughly 9.4 x 8.1 x 7.2 inches, this is genuinely easy to grab and take with you. The 268.8Wh LiFePO4 battery gives you 600W of continuous AC power with up to 1200W of surge power. That puts it in a really useful middle ground. It isn’t trying to replace a giant home battery system, but it has plenty of power for camping, road trips, outdoor work, electronics, and keeping important small devices running during an outage. I particularly like the output selection. There are two AC outlets, two regulated 12V DC outputs, a 30W USB-A port, and two USB-C ports. One of those USB-C ports can deliver up to 100W, which is a big deal if you're trying to charge a laptop rather than just phones and small gadgets. I can see this being especially useful for cameras, laptops, tablets, phones, lights, and other equipment when you’re away from an outlet. The 100W USB-C port is probably my favorite feature because it means I don't necessarily need to carry a separate laptop power brick and inverter setup. Plugging directly into USB-C is much cleaner. Charging is also impressive for something this size. The 170W AC input can recharge the unit in roughly two hours, and it can also be charged from a vehicle or from solar. The built-in MPPT controller supporting up to 120W of solar input makes this much more interesting for actual off-grid use. Obviously, the solar panel is separate, but having the solar charging hardware built into the power station means there isn't another controller to buy and carry around. The LiFePO4 battery is another big plus. With a rated life of around 3,000 cycles before reaching 80% capacity, this is the type of battery technology I prefer for something I expect to keep around for years rather than treating as a disposable emergency gadget. The UPS function is a nice bonus as well. Being able to use a power station as backup power for things like a router or computer is much more useful than simply having a giant battery sitting in a closet waiting for a camping trip. The display also gives you the information you actually want to know, including battery level, input/output power, and estimated runtime. And then there's the little five-mode LED light. It sounds like a minor feature, but having a built-in light on a power station is surprisingly convenient when you're fumbling around in the dark during a power outage or at a campsite. Overall, the Jump 600X feels like a very practical size. It has enough capacity and output to be genuinely useful without becoming something I need a hand truck to move. For camping, RV use, road trips, outdoor projects, or keeping some basic electronics alive during an outage, this is exactly the kind of power station I like having around. This is one of those pieces of gear you don't think about until the power goes out — and then suddenly everybody wants to know where you put it.

Everything about it seems to be well built and it has a lot of useful features included, but I'm taking a point off because it won't run my little dorm sized fridge and according to the description, I think it should. My fridge is about 3 cubic feet (see first picture) and according to the label on the back it uses 90 watts. I tried 6 or 7 times to get it to work but each time it trips the breaker in the power station after a second or two. I got out my own watt meter and measured the power consumption of the fridge, it says it peaks at 110 watts when starting but then settles down to about 80 watts after a few seconds. I tried different strategies like plugging in the fridge and then turning on the power station, turning on the power station and then plugging in the fridge, etc. But nothing worked. The description says it can deliver up to 600 watts of continuous power with a 1200 watt peak, so I'm not sure why it can't handle my little 90 watt fridge. I tried some other appliances such as plugin power tools. It could handle my small variable speed drill which uses about 200 watts at full power. My larger variable speed impact drill worked up to about 350 watts and then tripped the breaker. I tried charging some lawnmower batteries and the smaller batteries using about 200 watts charged without any issues. The larger battery tripped the breaker at about 350 watts. Smaller appliances work just fine. I could plug in LED lights, phone chargers, the modem, even a small TV, and those all worked just fine. The power station looks like it's well made, it feels light weight but very sturdy, and I like that it uses a LiFePO4 battery which is a type of battery well known for safety and long life. Even though my power station tripped it's breaker multiple times it was easy to reset, just turn it off and back on and then it worked like new again. I like the display which gives all the useful information you need such as how fast it's charging or how much power it's providing, as well as the state of charge in bold numbers. I like everything about it except it's not able to run my little 90 watt dorm size fridge.

TL;DR: The VTOMAN Jump 600X is a great middle ground between a basic power bank and a large power station that's annoying to carry around. At roughly 9.4 x 8.1 x 7.2 inches and 9.9 lbs, it's genuinely portable while still giving you a 268.8Wh LiFePO4 battery, 600W AC output, 1200W surge, 100W USB-C and solar charging. I paid around $240 and think that's fair. Around $200, I'd call it a great deal. Why This Size Works: I keep mine in my car/SUV and actually bring it places. We have a newborn, so it's been useful for powering our baby wipe warmer and my wife's breast pump on the go. I also bring it to my son's high school football games for a portable fan and charging phones. It's equally useful for road trips, parks, beaches, camping, tailgating, laptops, tablets and lights. That's the advantage of this size. Bigger power stations obviously store more energy, but a 10 lb unit is much easier to actually bring with you. Beginner Tip: Will It Power My Device? Here's the easiest way I've learned to understand it: WATTS tell you whether it can run your device. WATT-HOURS help estimate how long it can run it. The 600X provides up to 600W continuous AC output. Check the label on whatever you want to plug in. A 40W fan, 60W laptop charger or 100W device is comfortably within that limit. If the label only gives volts and amps: Volts x Amps = Watts Example: 120V x 2A = about 240W. For a rough runtime estimate, figure on roughly 85% of the 268.8Wh battery being usable after conversion losses. A continuous 40W load might run around 5 to 6 hours, while 100W might be around 2 hours. Real-world runtime will vary. What It's NOT For: This isn't the power station I'd buy for whole-house backup or regularly running large air conditioners, electric heaters, high-powered cooking appliances or other heavy loads. It's much better suited for everyday electronics, fans, lights, phones, laptops, breast pumps and smaller baby accessories. Solar Is a Big Bonus: You can connect a compatible solar panel, and the current 600X supports up to 120W solar input with MPPT. For camping, beach days or other long outdoor trips, good sunlight can replace a meaningful amount of the energy you're using and extend your runtime. Just remember that clouds, shade and panel positioning affect actual solar output. Price Matters: I've seen the price fluctuate quite a bit. Around $200: Great deal. Around $240: What I paid, and fair. Around $300: I'd compare larger-capacity models unless you specifically want this compact size. Overall, this isn't supposed to be the ultimate off-grid power station, and that's exactly why I like it. It feels durable, weighs only about 10 lbs, doesn't take up much room in the SUV, and provides enough power for the realistic things my family actually needs away from home. For road trips, football games, parks, beaches, camping and life with a newborn, this has been an extremely useful little power station. ★★★★★ 5/5 Stars

If you go overnight camping, a portable power station is essential. The VTOMAN Jump 600X 600W Portable Power Station, 268.8Wh LiFePO4 Battery has all the latest features available in modern power stations in one of the smallest and lightest sizes. The LiFePO4 battery is the longest lasting and safest type of power station battery. I wouldn’t trust any other type battery. The 600 watts of power will charge all my devices and run my single serve coffee maker. With solar panels, I can keep this power station charged during the day and the remaining 268.8Wh will power my electric dc refrigerator/freezer, along with some LED lights throughout the night. Since receiving the VTOMAN Jump 600X, I have charged it via an AC outlet inside my home using the provided power cable. Next, I charged it using my car cigarette lighter socket using the provided DC cable. Since I have my own solar panel and accompanying cable, I have also charged it via a 120 watt portable solar panel outside. The charging speeds I recorded when testing the three ways of charging the VTOMAN were true to the specifications online. After fully charging the VTOMAN Jump 600X, I tested all the power outputs. First, I was able to use the included USB C cable to charge and power my laptop. I used the DC Cigarette lighter type socket to power my DC refrigerator/Freezer. I tested all the USB ports to charge phones, lights, and portable fans. The unit has a nice display that is easy to read and provides information related to the level of charge and wattage being utilized. It also has a nice light that many of the newer models have stopped providing. I highly recommend the VTOMAN brand and the Jump 600X specifically. It’s not only a great tool for campers, it would be extremely helpful during a power outage and the UPS feature can be used to keep sensitive electronics working non stop.

This review is for the "VTOMAN Jump 600X 600W Portable Power Station, 268.8Wh LiFePO4 Battery" that I ordered via the Vine program. Our family has a ton of energy-hungry devices, and living in Florida means there's always the possibility of being without power for several hours during hurricane season. Portable power stations are also handy for beach days, camping, and other activities away from an outlet. This unit is smaller and lighter than many competing units, although that obviously comes at the expense of battery capacity. For its size, it has plenty of output to keep phones, laptops, and other personal electronics running for a significant amount of time. It can also power higher-wattage devices, but doing so can reduce total runtime to under an hour. That's simply the tradeoff for having a smaller, more portable 268.8Wh battery. I particularly like being able to charge it from a car's lighter plug, which means it can be fully charged and ready to go by the time you reach your destination. The controls are intuitive and feel very well made, with switches that activate with a reassuring click. The display is clear and easy to read, so you can tell at a glance what the unit is doing. It's mostly silent, although the internal fans will spin up during AC charging or higher-output situations. The built-in handle is also very well positioned and large enough to use while wearing gloves. The front light is surprisingly handy for illuminating a work area after the sun goes down. Overall, I think this is an excellent choice if portability is more important than maximum battery capacity. It's well suited for keeping personal electronics running during shorter power outages or taking along for a day at the beach or camping. I wouldn't choose it for running high-draw devices for extended periods, but that's not what a power station of this size is designed for. It's a little pricey compared to some competitors, but I think the input and output options, overall construction quality, and intuitive design justify the additional cost. I'm very happy with it and definitely recommend it.

I've become a huge fan of the Vtoman brand. No idea how to pronounce the name but I do know it means quality. I'll admit I was a shade confused initially because this item has the word "jump" in the name so I assumed, especially since I know Vtoman from their jump starters, that this was some super mega do-it-all jump pack. It is not. Is it super? Yes. Is it mega? Again, yes. But it will not jump a vehicle, nor is that the intended purpose. This is, in a way, kind of like a generator, in that you can connect and run multiple electric or electronic items when you have no power available elsewhere. I think there are limits to what you can run off this simultaneously, but to find that out you need to download the manual. Refrigerators and hot plates are likely a no go, but your laptop or even a TV should have no trouble at all. Adapters are included to help get you started if you can't find your cords right away. The unit isn't small or very light for the size, but the commensurate quality is unmistakable.

I’m extremely happy with this portable power station. It’s very easy to use and works incredibly well. There are several features. One of my favorites is being able to charge the station via AC or DC power cord (both are included). You can also pull power out via AC plug, DC plug, two usb-c ports (one 100W & one 30W), and one usb-a port. Everything is easy to see on the display even in bright light. Every spec that I bench tested proved to be legit. The whole thing is really pretty easy to use and operation is very straightforward, especially if you take 4 minutes to quickly read through the instructions. The internal battery is pretty huge and this power station can be used for a lot more than just emergencies and/or outages. It’ll be great for camping and other outdoor activities like parties etc. The build quality is solid and I expect it to be pretty durable, though literally every battery has a finite number of cycles in it. I think the price is pretty good for what you’re receiving here, currently at ~$270 but you might want to keep an eye out because it was $240 not long ago and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see it drop to around there again.
