I recently purchased this Power Station to use for camping and outdoor use. The unit is really high quality for the price and is more than sufficient to charge your phone, use laptop and other portable devices. I wanted to get a unit where I wouldn't drain my truck battery and also have the ability to use small appliances such as a portable fan, portable cooler, small cooking units and anything else I might need that requires AC use. This unit was able to handle it for three continuous days of use. I chose the VTOMAN over the Jackery because I really liked the design and over value of the unit. I think what drew me to it primarily was the light, that is much larger than other units on the market. The handle is also sturdy and in a good location for lifting the unit, that weighs a reasonable 15 pounds. I also liked the position of the AC outlets in the front and location of the USB ports for charging my wireless devices. It does take a long time to fully charge (8-12 hours), but for using items with small wattage requirements it gives you all the power you need. Amazon says it is gas powered, but that is an error because you either need to plug it into an AC outlet or can you buy the optional solar panels to charge it. I did end up returning it because I ended up getting a larger power station capable of lasting longer and able to handle larger items for a longer period of time. It is much lighter in weight then the larger power stations and could be an option to hook up a trickle charger to your battery or for other emergency situations. But if you are looking for something to use sparingly or to charge your wireless devices while camping, then this is more than sufficient. It also is something you can use when the power goes out and be a great backup for your electrical needs in the garage when working on a project and don't want to use lengthy electrical cords. Having gone through back-to-back hurricanes here in Central Florida's Gulf Coast this was a great item to have. First and foremost it runs the coffee maker and for that alone, it is worth it. It also ran our toaster oven( by itself). Very useful and super portable. I bought this to power my astrophotography gear and motorized tripod mount. It works great and allows me to run tor 40 continuous hours. Obviously i don't use it for that long non stop, but it gives me several nights of power. Last night i ended up in the basement all night because of tornados. When the power went out we turned on the light and had no problems. It can get very bright too. Three levels of light, a blinking light, and a light that flashes SOS in Morse code. Everything i do is from the dc ports and has never failed me. The ac ports are a little finiky, though, and will run out quickly if there's too much of a power draw. Thats the only reason for a four star instead of a 5 star. You have to watch your ac power consumption. ... show more

Althiugh this is a solod unit with a decent power capacity, I found that it was either way too much or not nearly enough for any application I wanted to use it for. I was impressed that it was able to run a space heater (not at full power) for over 30 minutes before shutting down. I had my neighbor test it as though he were going camping and he almost made it the whole night running his CPAP. He could them recharge the device with his solar panels. I suspect he could have made it the entire night if he would have powered the CPAP machine directly from the Vtoman 12V rather than using the 120V to 12V power adapter ... show more

So I bought this for my wife and I to use our cpaps on while camping, eliminating gas generator. I have been using it at home to test it, with one cpap it has lasted 5 days, and I still have 40% charge. I would say it is worth it to me.
