Directions can be a little difficult to understand for children, or anyone with little to no experience building things like Legos. Would be better if the printed directions gave more configurations for the set. If you go to the vtech website, they have quite a few options of different difficulty levels. Bought this for my 7 year old sons birthday. All three of my boys (2, 5, 7 years old) love playing with this set. The older ones help set up the course and then even the 2 year old has fun following the balls down the course. Seems to be pretty sturdy, everything has survived a few months of play now.     • Made very well! Directions make it easy! My 4&6 yr olds loves it!
I bought this for my 4yr old grandson for Christmas. It was probably one of his favorite gifts. This product comes with a bunch of small pieces so if you have a child who likes to put things in their mouth then this isn't for you. I was a little intimidated at first looking at all of the pieces that came with it. However the directions are perfect and even assembling the biggest one took only minutes. We built all of them on my grandson's Little Tykes table. The bigger one didn't quite fit on it but we were still able to make it work. Just make sure when building it you're not on carpet and are on a solid flat surface (kids table, dining table, tile/wood flooring). The directions give you 3 assembly options to choose from, a smaller one that probably doesn't even use half of the pieces (I suggest starting with the smallest one because it gives you a chance to get familiar with the product), a medium sized one that uses maybe 3/4 of the pieces and a large one that uses all of them. Once you get familiar with everything you can create your own. My grandson loves being able to pitch in and help put it together. Just make sure the parts that shoot the marbles to make it go through the tracks aren't facing a TV because if they hit it too hard the marbles can fly off. Other than that this is an excellent product for any kid age 4+. It's super durable. This thing will most likely outlive my grandson. They paid attention to the details and it shows! ... show more

My grandsons ages 10, 7 and 4 can all play with this on each of their own levels. They are having a great time creating different tracks. I recommend it. Was great value for the price!

    • Not sturdy. The blocks keep falling off easily
The blocks are filmsy. They dont attach sturdily and keep detaching and falling off so easily. I dont recommend this as it is such a pain to re-assemble everything everyday.

    • Let the Marbles Run!
This set was a great starter kit for marble runs! We ended up buying the ultimate set to go along with this one and they fit together perfectly. The directions are easy to follow or you can make your own paths for the marbles! My three year old loves this set and plays with it daily!
