My son previously had the Kidizoom Smartwatch DX2 5 years ago, and he still has it! But he wanted to upgrade to the new DX4 model, and a few weeks later, he got it! We must say, what an upgrade! The screen is WAY bigger than the DX2, and looks way clearer and better. The UI now is way quicker, and this watch adds a ton of stuff the last one didn't! We bought this for our grandson's 6th birthday. He loves to tinker and play games. This watch helps to learn to read a clock and the simple game keeps him entertained on long car rides. It also has a function to play games with other children that have the same watch. It has a parent programmable restriction to limit the amount of play and when during the day/week it can or can't be used. We thought this would be helpful when he's attending school, however, his schools do not allow it in the classroom. My 11 year charges it in the evening and uses it for step counting and alarms and it’s dead by lunch the next day. This is without taking pictures/videos or playing games. It also takes longer to charge than the Dx3 and Dx2 versions my other kids have. Which by the way both have a longer battery life even with camera and game usage. Will be returning or exchanging this in hopes that it’s a defective because he otherwise really likes it but it’s usually on the charger ... show more
