I replaced an aging set of Panasonic phones after the base station was zapped in a power surge. I liked the looks of the Vtechs which had a larger display and newer technology. In the plus column they are stylish, have great reception (even when used close by to another wireless device such as a tablet), and good sound quality. I can carry the phones outside and still make and receive calls. I particularly like the easy call block feature. Less impressive is the voice call announcement which is unclear and hilariously mispronounces most of the caller names. The Bluetooth feature (when paired to an iphone) only works intermittently though I am unable to say which device is failing. I also think there may be a conflict when I start my vehicle (also w Bluetooth) while it is still in range of the vtech base. Sadly, while the display, keypad and a few additional buttons are illuminated, many of the frequently used keys are not - leaving you to fumble in the dark to place or end a call. The mute button (not illuminated) is small and not set in a place that is intuitive to find (work from home users take note). The handsets are top-heavy and easily tipped over and the light weight charging bases are light and tend to slip (a common problem amongst many brands I think). Overall the Vtechs very good in some key areas though, if I were to do this again, I might take a closer look at other brands offering better illumination and a more prominent mute button.

I bought these for my dad who is an older person. His old phones were 10 years old. The only problem I have had with them was setting them up. Once I followed the instructions, I was able to get everything he needed set up in about an hour. He has problems sometimes remembering how to change settings and increase volume on a call. If you have an older person who is not tech savvy this may not be the phone for them. It has an abundance of features including bluetooth. You can link cellphones with the system. The reason we got them was the range of the handsets. They work great outdoors where my dad likes to sit on his patio. So far, phones have worked as advertised.

Pretty happy with set,a few of the features not 100% about. So many functions you have to go thru to delete calls and voice-mail. Phone dosent blink when it has a new message..whats up with that? Do like the 5 phone feature. Sound is good, no static.

This does not have a great hands free speaker on it. My other Vtech phone was much better quality speaker. The screening feature is great. It downloaded all of my cell phone numbers and has been a good purchase.

The technology of this system has reached a point where you need to be electronics savvy to operate all of the features available. I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering and still needed to refer to the instructions to set up and operate the system. It is a great System and deserves a 5-star review, but operation by others is NOT simple and easy. As a result, I cannot give it that high a review. I have had to show my spouse numerous times how to operate the handheld units. but she is finally beginning to understand. The feature allowing us to use cell phone directories and answer cell phones is fantastic, but I am happy it is transparent to my spouse.

The best part is that they block robo calls. If you want one to get through, say from your Dr, you just add their number to the "phone book" and they ring in. If their number is not a part of the phone book you create, then the PERSON has to leave their name for it to ring through. The ones that don't get through still have their number show up, so you know that you had a call. These phones also walk you through the set up, so it's not overly difficult to use. Thanks for a great product!
