  • Nice party trick
Color: Black & White
I honestly did not realize the Switch supported VR until I saw this headset. I ordered it just to test it out, and it is pretty cool. The headset works much like the old Google VR headsets where put the device in VR mode and strap it in. The switch is held securely when strapped in. It does a good job of displaying the image and making it comfortable to wear. I was able to play for a bit before I got tired of the game. The headset itself was find and I could have worn it for much longer with no complaints. The headset does it's job well, but the VR on the Switch is more of a gimmick than anything. ... show more

  • Fun Idea but Limiting
Color: Red & Blue
This VR headset for Switch looks cool, but overall, you need to make sure you have games that have a VR setting -- and there aren't many of them, making this kind of pricey for the limiting experience. A few of our games have the VR option, so we went ahead and ordered it, but then realized that even those options were limited. For one game, it really only offers a few levels of VR play, and for the other, the experience was dizzying to say the least. The headset itself is kind of heavy once you put the Switch into it, but it has some padding to cushion some of the weighty discomfort. There are three ways to focus the image -- each eye has a wheel to turn to help bring the two images together (so you're not seeing double), and then a third wheel in the center is your focal point, helping to reduce the blur. I was able to get it into focus and into a single image, but your eyes are basically two inches from the screen and it looks a little pixelated. It certainly had a bit of a novelty to it, but after a little while, I felt like I had motion sickness and it was just easier to hold the Switch or put it on my TV. Maybe some of the other games (that we don't have) offer a better experience (the two we tried were Mario Odyssey and Zelda Breath of the Wild), so I would do some research on how your games will work with these types of headsets before committing to one. Overall, I wouldn't get this again. ... show more

  • Awesome VR Headset for Nintendo Switch—Kids and Adults Love It!
Color: Red & Blue
This VR headset for the Nintendo Switch has been a fantastic addition to our gaming setup! The red and blue design is super cool and matches the Switch’s colors perfectly, making it an instant hit with the kids. The adjustable HD lenses give a great 3D experience, and the clarity really enhances the gameplay, making everything more immersive. The headset is lightweight, and the comfortable strap keeps it secure without feeling heavy on the head, even during longer play sessions. It's easy to set up, and the quality is impressive for the price. My daughter and husband are thrilled, it’s great for kids and adults looking to try out VR on the Switch. Highly recommended for a fun, unique gaming experience! ... show more

  • Good headset but no good games
Color: Black & White
The headset itself is great. Comfortable, holds the switch steady and seems to be made of quality plastic. The problem is that there isn't a single experience on the switch that makes it worth purchasing. Between the low resolution and the very lackluster game selection, I'd skip this.

  • Switch in your face
Color: Black & White
Intrigued on how well the Nintendo Switch could handle a VR experience I ordered this VR headset to find out. Out of the box the headset looked legit, and after some adjustments to the headstraps and lenses I was off to my journey into the land of Zelda. While it's no fault to the headset itself, which I emphasize is well made, I was a bit underwhelmed by the limitations of the low resolution Switch OLED screen and the chunky pixels when viewed through the lenses. The 3D depth is there, and the sound pipes through with good and clear stereo imaging. While the Switch is no featherweight, my 20 minute playtime with the vr set felt comfortable thanks to the nose padding and face interface relieving most of the downward pressure. In summary, it's a good vr headset and if your looking for a VR experience for your Switch this gets a strong recommend from me. ... show more

  • Works but uncomfortable
Color: Black & White
Let me first note that Ninteodo Switch VR itself is very limited and not well designed. Maybe I came with background of long time use of Oculus and Quest VR games, but Nitendo Switch games are "suck" at the best. With that said, this headset is ok, but not very comfortable to wear. I think it's way better than Nintendo LABO cardboard/rubber band headset, but LABO has some extra feature that this headset does not offer. Most cons of VR game experience is due to Nintendo VR game's fault, and not this headset. When Switch was loaded, it made front heavy, and the headset creep down slowly. It was very uncomfortable after 10 minutes of use. i had to constantly adjust the headset. The top headband feels very insecure - too short, I think. Maybe this was designed for a small young child. It has hard time holding the headset in one position - creeps downward. I like the way you can adjust lens though. Each eye has diopter adjustment that moves lens back and forth (even Quest does not have this mechanical option). Also interpupillary distance can be adjusted by a dial. I also tried watch 3D SBS video from Youtube. Since this headset can only cover "round shaped" screen of VR games, the 3D SBS video look really bad on the screen (not synced properly and you see double images) - not to mention resolution of Switch is about 360p per eye. Tried Zelda VR, but it's no where good as Quest VR. Made me nauseated after 10 minutes of playing. There are only limited number of Switch VR games out there, I believe. I hope Nintendo makes more VR games in future. ... show more
