When we got our Sheltie puppy at 8 weeks, I originally got the corduroy Voyager vest, which was so cute and seemed comfortable for her and so easy to put on. But when she outgrew it, the weather was too hot for that heavier/plush one. I tried a couple other strappy harnesses, but this step-in version is so much easier to put on (though I have missed a leg in the right place a time or two.) It is very sturdy. I wish the Velcro wasn't so noisy when taking it off, but she got used to that sound. We keep it on her most of the day since as a pup, she's in and out a lot. The two metal rings at the top click a lot and we joke they sound like she is playing the castanets. I wish it was a little lighter, now that it is so hot, but we need to keep her in a harness still, especially when we meet up with people and other dogs outside. I have a bunch of leashes, but I decided to get the combo and I really like the leash that comes with it. The handle loop is padded, making it much more comfortable to hold all the time, and it is very sturdy. I was thrown by the photo and thought I was getting the poop bag holder, too, when I ordered the combo. But when it arrive I read the listing and saw that the bag was separate and an additional $10. I ended up finding a different poop bag - set of 3 -- that is a much better bargain for $15. 3Packs Dog Poop Bag Dispenser Dog Waste Bag Holder Dog Waste Bags Dispensers With Hand Dog Poop Bag Metal Holders - by Kyrilali. They hold 2 bag rolls and even have room for a key or something. For size -- I was really surprised when I ordered a M for my not quite 15 pound pup. It was too small, so I had to order the Large. Really like this set. It is nicely made and comfortable to use. I would have given it a 5 but leash edges starting to fray a bit in less than 5 months (see pic). If it wasn't for that would say this is an incredible set.

I love this dog harness. I have bought several of them. They fit the dog well and if you get the correct size, it would be very difficult for the dog to get out of it. My little maltipoo even knows to lift her legs to step into the harness. She is 13 pounds and I bought a M. The harness is well made. This time I purchased the combo harness and leash. I do not like the leash very well. It gave me rope burns a couple of times when I had to rein in my dog, and the handle is not very comfortable. This thing is comfy but secure. it is easy to put on even for 10yr old shihtzu that has never used a harness. I love that it keeps the leash up on her back so it doesn't keep getting around her legs. the leash matches perfectly and has reflective stitching which is nice in the dark. Sizing is key .. measure your dog as they explain,and be sure to realize haircut can affect best size. I love in Florida, so pup is kept short haired most of the time.15lb shihtzu is wearing a size Large?! she is stocky, but not overweight. I am very glad I measured. before her grooming I was wondering if I should have gotten and XL ... if your dog needs more adjustability try a different style. ... show more
