We are having some work done at our house. Permit requires alarms on doors that exit to the back yard, as we have a pool. These are super easy to install and work well. The price is pretty great too. I was looking for alarms that have a small footprint and an off switch. This is both, plus it has a chime feature to alert you if door is opened and you don't want a full on alarm. The chime is loud enough to hear from another room, but not so loud as to make you jump. My door frame and door are about 1/4" difference in height. The magnet is a bit shorter so I put it on the frame. Then put the alarm on the door. There is still a small height difference. It works well. Directions say as long as they're within 3/4" of each other it won't alarm. As soon as it separates farther, it alarms. Perfect for my needs. Adhesive strip is 3M, is super sticky and holds well. One hint for the alarm switch - I put a red marker dot on the off end of the switch, and a green dot on the alarm end. It's much easier than looking for my glasses or trial and error.

It won’t call the cops for you or send a fire truck to your house, but what it will do is alert you should any doors, windows or cupboards open without your knowledge or permission. I easily installed these devices on my parents front and back doors to keep my dad safe as he has dementia and sometimes wanders. This is a very easy gadget for my mom to operate and it helps her to feel safe and secure. Loud enough to wake her up from upstairs should the door open. It has two settings, an alarm that squeals until you turn it off and a door chime that beeps. Overall, I’m very happy with this sat and feel like the batteries can be easily changed as well, which is important.

Easy install, and the product works well. The main issue I have, is that the door chime is significantly louder than the alarm. Since the alarm is designed to be a safety feature I feel like it should definitely be louder than it is.

I honestly was surprised at how loud this is and easy to install. I went with the more affordable route since they all looked the same I figured it’s a door alarm I don’t need nothing super fancy. Glad I did because this works awesome and it gives me some peace of mind knowing if that door opens when it shouldn’t be opening I will be alerted I got it because of my 3yo she opens the door to look for her dad when he’s on his way home from work. One time I had no idea the door was wide open and she was still in the house but still the door was wide open and I didn’t know. Literally can’t even look away for a couple seconds. But now she doesn’t want to go near the door lol she hates the sound. So I feel so much better about that ! Thank you I definitely recommend ! Also my door goes out and I was still able to install to get it to work properly and I’m really dumb with stuff like this but even I could do it. So you are all good 👍

I have to say i am liking it so far. It's loud and has 2 different chimes, one sounds like you're entering a small convenient/ liquor store and the other sound is the alarm you hear when someone is breaking into a place :). I got it because my son with autism sometimes walks out if he's dad walks out to throw out the trash. I don't hear the door, but with this alarm I can definitely know he is walking out, but be advise it is loud and somewhat annoying when walking out the house each time. I would say place it at the top of the door instead of the side it will be right at your ear on the side and it does bother my son. Hope my info helps.
