Great quality for the price. Action is smooth both opening and closing. Not too heavy so it’s nice to have in your bag. Haven’t got to use it in rain yet but it appears pretty durable.

This set is a lightweight, small, and reliable umbrella set. Its a good size for one, maybe two people, and when all closed its compact enough to keep in a glove box. The material is slightly rubbery on the underside, so I don't think ti will leak any time soon. It is also handy that the wet outside closes into its self, so the outside is dry to the touch after folding. Make sure to shake out the excess water One thing to watch out for is that it does sometimes open in a funky way with the edges facing up (See photo). Closing and opening it again got it to work right, and even with it that way it would still keep you dry Overall a great value for a pair of umbrellas

This umbrella does work, but there are many other choices that are lighter, smaller and open correctly. First off, 8/10 times it opens facing upwards instead of downwards like most umbrellas. Sure you can change this by using your hands to correct it, but why should we have to? Secondly, it's heavy. There are much lighter, smaller umbrellas available. The best part of this umbrellas is the price. But spend a little more and get something smaller, lighter and works better.

I’m enjoying my umbrellas and I can’t wait to use it once it rains. The color of them are great and the material is quite thick and firm. Im sure the durability will be strong once it rains and the wind starts blowing heavy. When closing it it’s a bit tough you just have to have a steady hand.

Updated review - seller corrected the issue and I am much happier now. When I opened the first umbrella, which had a different handle protector on it (some bubble wrap versus a professional piece of foam) I thought I might’ve gotten a used one. So I tried that umbrella first. It sprang open to it look like a rain catcher. I thought perhaps I ordered the wrong product and went online to check my order. Nope supposed to be an umbrella. I had to manually pull the outer rim down to form the umbrella shape. Although it seems to work now, I cannot help but wonder if the long-term storage of the reverse flipped edge makes this umbrella a sunshade more than protection from the rain.

Something is not adding up for these umbrellas to have a 5-star rating. Every component was cheap, opening and closing was not smooth at all, the toxic smell was overwhelming. These are definitely going back.

I received my umbrellas two days after I ordered them. (Thanks for the fast shipping). The following day we had a heavy thunderstorm move through. Along with the storm came strong winds. Perfect conditions for testing out the new umbrella. My wife had a smaller umbrella from a different manufacturer. Within a minute her umbrella was blown out by the wind. My new umbrella (which I handed to my wife) worked perfectly. The push button deploy worked flawlessly. What I really like is the push button retract. It retracts with a bit of a snap which sheds water and makes putting it away really easy. This is a great product at a good price.

The VOUUY 2-pack travel umbrellas are surprisingly sturdy and well-built. The 10-rib design holds up well in strong wind, and the reverse folding feature keeps water contained when closing.
