🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The VOSKER V-150 is a motion-triggered camera with good picture quality during the day, and decent night vision capabilities. It handles vehicle motion detection effectively but may struggle with properly capturing back-to-back vehicles. Expect additional costs for better data plans and the ability to store more HD photos. Some users also reported poor camera photo quality and issues with water damage.

Pros

  • 📸 Good picture quality during the day
  • 🌞 Easy set-up with self-contained solar cell and battery
  • 🌐 No reported issues with SIM or cell signal coverage
  • 📡 Option for external antenna for better reception

Cons

  • 💰 Costly data plans (ranging from $9-$18 per month)
  • 💾 Limited cloud photo storage based on data plan
  • 🌃 Poor night-time license plate capture due to reflection
  • 😕 Some users reported poor quality of HD photos and water damage issues

Should I Buy It?

The VOSKER V-150 can be a useful tool for general security, particularly in remote areas or for monitoring property gates. However, its limitations such as poor night-time license plate capturing, additional costs for data plans, and reported quality control issues should be taken into consideration before making the purchase.

  • Great camera, great customer support.

Bought this brand to replace another brand where all 3 cameras stopped working after 1year. Set first camera up, easy peasy. 2nd camera I had an issue with. Turn around fast. First camera working great so far. Extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the caliber of the support team. ... show more

  • The Camera fills up with water almost instantly when it rains
Style: V150-KIT-VZN
I purchased the Vosker 150 model camera and the metal security tamper resistant case with it I actually purchased two of them never received the second one and never received my refund. The one I did receive worked as advertised when first installed for about two weeks until it rained for the first time. The Camera filled with water stopped charging by solar and the camera filled with water and completely stopped working all together. I have not been able to reach customer service as of yet trying the last two days with no response to emails or requests for call back it just rings in their end no one answers or called back left details of the problem and I am looking for a refund product does not perform or stand up to the elements as advised. I will try again tomorrow to reach manufacture if unsuccessful I am going to contact Amazon and find out why I’m unable to reach seller or customer service after leaving detailed messages and ways of contacting me back. This product is no as it’s advertised at least this particular camera isn’t what it’s said to be which is very expensive and not water proof. I liked how it worked up until it rained in it and camera filled with water almost instantly. I’ve uploaded two photos of how it was installed and a photo of the sealed gasket for power supply with water and dripping out of it with rust appears to be seen by eye. I will post again if seller responds but I’ve had no luck so far. ... show more

  • Peace of Mind
Style: V150-US
I can say so many great things about this camera. I love how easy it is to set up and manage through the app. With the solar panel on top, there’s no need to worry about changing out batteries. The camera is small and compact which allows it to be out of sight and out of mind. We love the quality and value of this camera. Living in a rural area this camera provides security around our property without needing wifi. Nothing gets by this camera with excellent motion detection. We call it the gate keeper !!! Rather you’re looking to keep a watchful eye around your home, campsite or job site, this is the camera that you need. I highly recommend this camera. I will be buying again. ... show more

  • Peace of mind.
Style: V150-US
I purchased this camera just over a month ago so I’ve had time to test it. It is very reliable. You don’t have to worry about power or WiFi issues because it’s self sufficient. The rechargeable battery with the built in solar panel keep you powered up 24/7. It was very simple activation and operation. The setting are very clear and simple. If you are looking for a good way to have a peace of mind while you are not around, this is the perfect solution. The picture quality is great and it seems to capture everything that comes by it. Over all would recommend for security. A++ ... show more

  • Great camera! just not for my purpose.
Style: V150-US
I purchased this camera to capture license plates at a business I work loss prevention at. We have a lot of theft and we realized a key piece of evidence that could help was a clean picture of a vehicle and a license plate which wasn’t really available with our existing system. Surely their are dedicated cameras for hundreds if not thousands of dollars and even another option similar to this by Reconnyx called HyperFire which is roughly $600. But because I was paying for this out of my own pocket I needed something more cost effective. I found the VOSKER V-150 to possibly meet this need. Now after talking with VOSKER representatives and knowing that this camera wasn’t really designed for my purposes I still went ahead and purchased it to test it out. Let me begin by saying this camera does what it is intended to do and that’s take photos triggered by motion. I was really impressed with the quality and how it operated. For the lay person this camera would be perfect for protecting vacation homes, trails, driveways in remote areas etc. However for my purpose we deal with a lot of vehicle traffic. In fact I went through 1000 photos (with the burst photo option) in just one day and night. So let me go into the pros first and then the cons. This camera takes very nice photos during the day and where I positioned it at the exit of our store I was able to read plates pretty clearly and make out the vehicle model with ease. It does a good job of detecting motion and even can detect the kind of motion such as a vehicle or person for easy identification. At night the IR illumination does a very good job and still allows for the make of the vehicle to be identified. Now into the cons. Again this is only because of my unique purpose and not necessarily bad about this camera. One issue I found was the trigger speed. If two vehicles were back to back trying to exit the property it did not trigger for each individual vehicle but only the beginning vehicle and often cut off the second vehicle or didn’t capture it at all. This also did this even if the vehicle was maybe 20 feet away from the second vehicle. I’m guessing because the camera is actively transmitting the photos and can’t take additional photos until done with that process. This lead for some vehicles not being captured especially during busy times when multiple vehicles were trying to exit. It took some time adjusting the setting to better trigger so that I could get the car in the shot and then the second photo would take the back of the vehicle with the plate however this sometimes lead to it being to far away to even read it. This could be because the vehicle was moving to fast or two slow which resulted in the burst photos only capturing a portion of the front of the vehicle. Nether the less it still did a good job but for my purpose I needed a consistent capture of every vehicle. Now what makes License plate reader cameras so unique is its ability to capture plates at night. This camera basically is useless in capturing plates at night due to many factors mostly due to the IR illumination reflecting off the plates making them unreadable. It also has a hard time capturing vehicles in motion creating a blur effect however this might have been because it was raining while I was testing it at night but I don’t think that’s the case. I wish there was a setting to be able to adjust the IR lights or even have a filter to able to read plates easier at night. Lastly was only allowed 40 HD photos. Unless paying an extra $5 a month I could only get 40 HD photos. Which isn’t necessarily bad because I’d only need a good photo of a vehicle I suspected in a theft however the overall quality of the images didn’t allow me to read plates unless selected the HD photo. The camera does store them locally on an SD card however it would be difficult to have to get a ladder each time I’d need a good photo especially when time is of the essence during a theft investigation and I have PD breathing down my neck for video footage or any vehicle descriptions. Overall this camera is very nice for the price. It works great but I don’t recommend it for capturing license plates like in my situation. I’d recommend getting the security box to protect your investment. you can also find a cheaper version of the cellular antenna they sell for $99 which I found for $15 here on Amazon for those of you needing better reception. ... show more
