  • Great model
Everything was well packaged, no damage. Fit was great. Flys great.

  • Missing Control Horn Screws
The screws that are supposed to mount the control horns were not in the bag with the control horns and mounts. I watched a youtube video of someone else building the model and their screws were in that bag. Very disappointing! Unfortunately none of the local hardware stores sell m2 screws (m3 is the smallest) so I have to wait another few days for m2 screws to arrive from amazon... Other than this it seems like a good plane, but it is super annoying when kits dont contain the complete kit. ... show more

  • Very good easy to fly plane with great FPV potential.
The Volantex 2000 mm is an easy flying stable glider. My inital/maiden flight was unassisted by a flight controller, just using a FrSky Rx with pwm and an altitude varometer sensor. I also flew it FPV because my eyesight ain't what it used to be. I really like the blown plastic fusilage. Before I flew it, I covered the leading edges of the foam wings with reinforced pacling tape; from experience, I think this is the best practice and do it with all my planes. This plane is BIG. If there is a downside to it, it is going to be transporting it. It disassembles, but I don't like fiddling with servo plugs at the field. It has adequate room for a small F4 or F7 flight controller, but expect to take a day installing it neatly and you certainly won't want to disassemble it to transport. This plane would not be bad for a beginner, but a slightly smaller plane (like the Volantex 1600) might be a better choice to start with ... the longer wings on the 2000 might prove difficult for a beginner to land without digging a wing into the grass. ... show more

  • prepare to recieve a broken plane
For a plane this cool, the packaging doesn't make sense. The plane is so banged up I began to wonder if I got one somebody returned. I am doing my best to fix all the broken plastic pieces, but I don't know about how well I can straighten the wings. It's a shame that even if I can, I won't get to see how well an undamaged plane will fly. ... show more

  • Making it work at extra costs
The airplane came with a cracked wing and both servos on that wing were non-functional. The vendor was kind enough to send 3 new servos of which two of those servos were non-functional. I’ve used foam safe glue in the crack, and purchased metal gear servos from emax to replace all six servos on the plane. The vendor refunded $20.00 dollars for my trouble and now all servos work just fine. Hopefully the wing holds out under stress. The vendor should have replaced the wing set as well. ... show more

  • Not recommend if you live at high altitude
The engine is way to small and would not generate enough thrust to fly. I live at 5280 above sea level and I could not get enough engine performance to fly the aircraft.
