I've reviewed several RC planes in the past couple years. Most were two axis or 4 axis, and sure they would fly, but unless you're just going to fly strait and narrow, maybe make a turn or two, they were not all that controllable. This one, for less than $200, is much more controllable. You can adjust the tail rudder, the tail flaps as well as the wing flaps. That allows you to do some pretty serious stunts. That stabilizing chip inside keeps it steady and smooth. They give you THREE S2 (7.4V) 400mAh batteries, along with two charging cables. That is way more power than you get with most other lower grade Styrofoam planes. They also give you FOUR propellers. This one is not quite hobby grade yet, but it's sure trying hard to be given it's features and controllability. It is easy to fly, and the controller itself is fairly sophisticated with lots of options. Obviously, although it is easy to fly, I would start in beginner mode, which is a bit slower, till you can then work up to the intermediate mode before trying the expert mode. Also unlike some of the lower end rc planes, the documentation is well written and understandable. I'm giving this one a full five stars because it deserves it at this price point.
