  • Soooooo fun to fly!
Color: Bf109
I never leave reviews cuz I absolutely hate writing. But these planes seriously deserve a review! I highly suggest them for any beginning or even advanced RC guy (like me). Easy to fly, fast, agile, and has the perfect mix of durability and aesthetics (they look so cool, especially if you love WW2 planes like I do). I've bought a total of 9 of these planes and I finally feel experienced enough to offer some good advice. So here you go: 1) Buy either the Corsair or the BF109. They fly the best -- especially the Corsair but they all fly slightly different depending on chance. I haven't had a plane fly poorly, but the Mustang did get a little shaky when going fast or when it was windy and the P40 Warhawk was super jittery. The Corsair is BY FAR my favorite though. I've had 3 and they all flew super good (crashed one straight into a fence and the other one I crashed so many times it simply became inoperable). 2) LEARN TO FLY THESE IN A GRASS FIELD. A BIG ONE! You are going to crash 100,383 times before you get anywhere near adept enough to fly these things in front of your house. But if you're doing it in a giant grass field, then you can crash them literally dozens of times and they won't break. Concrete, on the other hand, can wreck them in one crash. 3) Keep the wheels on. They'll break off from time to time -- to which superglue will mount them back on -- but they'll protect the battery cage from breaking. On the superglue note, it's awesome for glueing together broken wings etc cuz the planes are just styrofoam. 4) Buy extra props. They fall off on impact and don't break often, but they do crack relatively easily so you'll want extra ones trust me. 5) Have needle nose pliers on hand for removing the battery. You'll thank me later. 6) Before your first flight make sure the prop is on securely by gunning it while you hold it then dragging it backwards through the air. If that doesn't make the prop fall off, then you're ready to send it. 7) Make sure your controller is in easy mode on your first flight. Once you get better, go to intermediate mode. That's where I still am, and it's the best mode to fly in IMO. The one time I went into expert mode I drilled my BF109 straight into the concrete and it destroyed my brand new plane. Sucked. 8) When taking off, put the throttle on full, and huck the plane as high as you can at a 45 degree angle into the wind. 9) I'd just fly in circles using the right control knob at first. Then crash it into the grass and repeat. These planes are SO FUN! 10) Once you graduate to flying them outside your house try to land in grass. You basically crash land but it's better than crashing in the street on a failed approach. Then once you master grass, land on the street. But give it several weeks before going for a street landing. Cuz if you bend the shaft that spins the propeller that will essentially total your plane. 11) Land in the street by coming in fast and low. I'll come in at like half speed and once the wheels are down I'll cut power. My landings are now like butter and I'm breaking my planes WAY LESS. 10) You can fly these things almost entirely with the right joystick. Just keep the left joystick pinned (throttle) and fly the thing with the left one. Easy Peasy. 11) Once you're an epic pilot like me, you'll be chasing birds around and dive bombing the kids in the neighborhood. You'll be doing loops and barrel rolls and songs will be written about you that will be sung around campfires for generations to come. These things are awesome, GET ONE! ... show more

  • Middle Seam Falls Apart After 2 Flights!! Seller mailed glue & rear wheel to fix it!!
Color: P40 Warhawk
After flying the plane only twice the seem in the middle split into two halves. Everything else about the plane seemed well made and it fly's good, just the seem must not have been put together correctly or something. I'm waiting for the seller to respond whether or not they will replace it under warranty for a manufacturers defect and I will come back and update this review with their action & response. Also the rear wheel fell off during flight and I can't find it. I did secure it the way it's supposed to go on. Update: After contacting the seller Exhobby for a warranty replacement I was told to glue the plane back together. It is well within the 1 year warranty replacement period and this seller does not honor the warranty. Stay Away!!! Find a different seller that will honor the 1 year warranty. If Exhobby honors the warranty then I will update this review and the rating. There's another seller of this same plane on amazon and I will be buying that one if this doesn't get resolved soon by Exhobby who doesn't seem to want to honor their warranty. Update: Although the seller did not replace the airplane they did send me the glue & rear wheel to get it fixed so I updated the stars from 1 to 4. The seller that mailed me the replacement parts is ExHobby ... show more

  • Incredible little plane
Color: Bf109
The thing is extremely durable and very sensitive to input, with the 4 channel controller you get full control of the plane. I have accidentally dive bombed the ground at full throttle on a couple of occasions while attempting more difficult maneuvers and amazingly have not destroyed the plane, I did have to reglue the motor back in place as I knocked it loose inside the fuselage but a little bit of GOOP glue and it was back to flying like a charm. The propellers are easy to break if you crash as much as I do. It is barely a beginner plane and I would recommend calling it a intermediate plane due... when you use it make sure to turn off the throttle completely before landing or you will destroy the propellers ... show more

  • Can be flown safely indoors or outdoors in a mild wind
Color: T28 Trojan
The breakaway propellers are ingenious. Outdoors it will cut right through the wind 5 to 8 mile an hour, no problem. Fun little airplane ,easy to control with radio provided. Suggest you always fly with the wheels on to protect the vulnerable aileron actuator on the bottom.

  • Pretty Cool
Color: P40 Warhawk
I’m 43 and always wanted an RC plane. When my 11yr old asked me if he could get one for his birthday he thought I might say no, but I came straight to Amazon and ordered this immediately after reading reviews and looking for an easy (and ready to fly) “beginner” plane. This thing is light but sturdy and it comes with with everything you need - 2 batteries, 4 propellers and an easy-to-use remote control with several settings that really make it foolproof in many ways (and safe) for a younger “pilot”. I will say a hard landing popped a wheel off and we just need to glue it back on, but otherwise it has been a blast! On a full charge you probably get 12-15min of flight time per battery, and it’s easy to swap them out. The one touch aerobatics have you doing barrel roles and loops like you have a clue what you’re doing. I love it and am glad I fina…errrr….I mean, my son loves his birthday gift! We got the $20 2yr plan and I feel like that adds even more security to this already great, entry level RC Plane! Can’t go wrong!!! ... show more

  • Wow
Color: P40 Warhawk
This product was really good until I flew it into a tree and it stopped working

  • Very powerful plane
Color: P40 Warhawk
This a very powerful plane. It flew so high, that it got lost in the sky and the wind carried it away. Please send us a replacement plane. Would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
