For those who's review mentioned that the seat seamed to lean forward, make sure the seat is installed facing correctly on the base. The base has an arrow and the word "FRONT" under where the bolts are used to fasten the seat. Luv them really easy to put together. Item arrived about 1 week early. Great job I had add to my review after reading from someone that the design was bad and the was at an angle forward. I build a total of 4 and one was had that issue, that if when u realized I had the put the support bar backwards, once I realize I corrected it and has been good.     • A Chair Designed To Dump You Out Of It Forward Into The Floor

I really wanted to love these chairs. They were easy to assemble and look very nice. They also seem to be stable and durable. The adjustable height is quite nice as well. The issue comes when you try to sit in them. Whomever designed these clearly never assembled one and actually SAT in ONE. The seats are mounted in a fixed position so they cannot be leaned back and are affixed to the support pole at a forward angle that can only be described as a feeling of the chair trying to dump you out of it. If the seats were mounted to the support poles at and angle even 5-7° back from the current mounted position they would probably be fairly comfortable. As they are, you can only sit in them for a few minutes. That is, if they don’t dump you out forward before you make it that long. Seems like such a careless design element could be easily remedied and would not take much effort to make it right for those of us who have already purchased the poorly designed ones. Unless true effort is made to fix this issue, I definitely would not recommend this product. ... show more

The product itself is good. Heaven help you if you want to return a damaged chair. After a few attempts I decided to just keep the damaged chair. Make sure you read the package information. I thought I was ordering two chairs and I was actually getting four. So three of the chairs are good. I will patch the hole in the fourth one ... show more

These came in time and were packaged well with no damage. Be warned that the foam padding can let pieces fly around as you pull things out of the packaging - static cling to everything around. Putting both chairs together was easy and only took 20 minutes. A warning I had seen in other reviews warned to notice the direction of the seat when placed on the base bracket (it's marked actually). The stools are very sturdy and are very comfortable. The only reason for the four stars is the pretty sloppy welding of the pieces. The welding is strong enough but it looks like a high school shop did the welding. Also, one of the arm rests had the exposed metal a little rough and that will have to be smoothed or covered so that someone doesn't get skinned moving their hand or arm across it. It's not a show stopper at all though. Generally, we are very satisfied. Oh, one more thing. The control lever to adjust the height works the same was that office chairs are height adjusted. Be warned: when the stool is first put together it is at it's lowest point. There's a lot of power in the hydraulic cylinder and when pulling the lever, the chair really pops up hard and fast and once up at the top of it's height, it's really hard to push it down. If you are already sitting on it, there's no problem but don't make a mistake and have anything resting on the seat when that level is pulled up. ... show more

very nice chairs. lowest hieght setting is perfect hieght for sitting at our kitchen peninsula (I'm 5'10"). comfortable and sturdy. my only complaints are that the hydraulic lift is only secured to the base by gravity as well as the whole supporting pole that sits over the lift so you can not really lift the chair when moving it around, youll have to slide it across your floors and does give me concern for safety. I would not recommend adjusting it to the highest setting because it seems a little sketchy at that level. Otherwise I would have gave it 5 stars. We bought 2 sets and are pretty pleased with them since it suits our needs to act as dining chairs for our peninsula as well as a desk chair for our craft area. installation was a breeze but the picture in the instructions do not really show you a difference for the machine screws. but it worked out either way. there are only 8 screws per chair. 4 for the arm rest and 4 to secure the base of the chair to the pole. comes with 2 allen wrenches so that was nice. Overall they work well and feel great just wished the manufactured added some more screws to secure the base. ... show more

I was watching out for the bottom to come off but it doesn't. I've only assembled one, we needed it for Frank Gehry to sit in (yes that Frank Gehry) and this was good looking and comfortable enough for a guy like him! Seriously though. These are really nice, sturdy enough if not at the very highest setting but that only matters if it's standing totally alone and there's not a counter or something that it's bellied up to... I doubt you can beat it for the price. One more thing, I needed it fast...they made sure I got it. Thank you! ... show more
