Okay so I had a different cardholder phone for years (Since the Note 20 Ultra was till the newest on the market). It worked good but was bulkier than this one and the card holder section slid to the side instead of flipped like this one. The slide finally broke so I needed another one. I chose this one, and wish I would have found it first. The case is slimmer than my other one, the cardholder has more room (my old one always seemed like I was 1 card too many, this one actually takes 1 more card than my old one did, and isn't 'overloaded' at all. It holds them securely, and they are easy to remove and put back in (the old one I had to make sure I had the cards flipped just right so it would close properly, this one just holds them all with no problem) Even though it has more room, it is still slimmer than my old, and feels solid. Buttons all work well no complaints on form Another nice thing is that it has subtle 'grip' on the sides which makes holding it always feel more secure/stable than my old (not that my old was bad, but its a noticeable improvement nonetheless). I got this on during black friday sales for a really good price and only expected it to get me by until I got a new phone in the next year or so, but it exceeded my expectations, feels better built and more ergonomic than the old one I had which was quite a bit more expensive, and I just can't say anything bad about. LOL my wife even noticed it and thought I got a new phone, lol, and once I explained how my old case broke, she commented how much better this one looked compared to my old one. I bought this over 2.5 years ago and I have loved it. I ditched my wallet forever and now just carry this. It's taken quite a bit of wear and tear over time and the gunmetal color started to wear off at the corners, but still looks pretty good. Well this morning I dropped my cell phone from the fireplace mantle where I had it resting and it landed on the brick hearth. I thought for sure I'd broken my phone, but nope, it's still working fine. The case cracked, but saved my phone. I'm immediately buying another one. Very happy with this purchase. -edit. I tripped and fell, my phone went flying out of my hands as I tried to save myself from injury (I'm fine). My phone flew a good six feet and landed on concrete. Once again the case cracked and my phone was PERFECTLY fine. I happily ordered my third case. Can I give it five plus stars? Thank you for protecting my case from not just every day wear and tear, but two BRUTALLY bad drops that should have destroyed my phone were they not in this case. TLDR: 4 stars due to color coating scratching off easily and is too thick to use with headphones with thick or angled audio jacks. Minor inconveniences, but overall a great sturdy phone case to use in conjunction with a glass screen protector. This is my 3rd time purchasing this case and it continues to be my go-to! I wanted a sturdy, nicely designed shockproof case with card holder and this one meets my criteria the best. The rose gold color coating is especially nice, though it scratches and wears out pretty easily over time so you would want to replace it every half year or so. I procrastinated in replacing my last case, but above is the comparison between my previous one used for over a year and a new one. You can see where my finger/fingernail wore off the coating pretty easily lol. What I like about the card holder is it can fit up to 3 cards which is perfect for what I need. I don't like going cardless with digital wallets because that relies on your phone staying on, rather than just staying on you. I'm also not a fan of the wallet style cases because they're too obvious that you have your cards in there. However, most other card holder cases have flimsy sliding hinges that are very susceptible to breaking at even the slightest pressure! So I particularly like this design that opens up like a door because the hinge is a much larger, sturdier piece that will never break even when used multiple times a day for a year. ... show more

UPDATE: Mar 14, 2023 - I STILL have this case and I have dropped it multiple times (I'm pretty clumsy) but it's still in great condition. I'm finally ordering a new one ONLY bc the ring I added on the back broke and I can't get it off to replace it. I just wanted to share that. I added a pic as well. You can tell it's been used a lot bc some of the color has worn off but it's still in perfect condition. I'm trying out the gun metal color this time. GREAT CASE especially for the price. Nov 2, 2019: Original Review: I absolutely love this case for my Galaxy note 9!! My phone is lavender so I would love to have the case in lavender as well but I ordered the purple since it was the closest color they had to lavender. I was looking for one where I could put my debit card, license & cash in it so I don't have to carry a purse all the time & this works perfect. I could carry 4 cards or more if needed. I love the spring shut because other cases I saw were magnetic which I heard might mess with the magnetic strip on the credit cards plus this seems more secure. My only issue was that it does not have a ring on the back to hold my phone better or to set it up when needed so I bought a clear ring holder and placed it so when the ring is down it actually makes my card holder more secure. It actually helps lock it in place so that I have to lift up the ring to open it up & that to me offers more protection from losing my cards and money. All in all this is a great case especially for the cost. I only wish they had more color options such as lavender to match my phone better. And for some reason they offer lavender as one of the colors I will definitely repurchase in that color. This is my favorite case of the many that I've had & no complaints so far!! ... show more

Definitely would recommend trying this product out if you are looking for a great wallet phone case that's very slim and minimal looking. Not sure why others have commented the case being cheaply made and susceptible to cracking. The only way I can think that can happen is literally throwing it to the ground and over stuffing the wallet compartment or forcing it onto the wrong phone model. For my use, I am able to carry with no issues the following items.. 1 Debit Card, 2 Credit Cards, 2 IDs (License & CAC) and a tri-folded paper currency bill I do agree that it does add some weight to my device but IMHO that's expected and also speaks to the case's hard plastic durability. The only slight annoyance I have is that I wish the sides had more grip and friction so less likely to slip my hand. Otherwise, it's perfect! ... show more
