In my opinion, if you need a flexible and complete air conditioning system service kit, the VIVOHOME A2L AC Vacuum Pump and Manifold Gauge Set is a great buy. The kit includes a vacuum pump and oil, 800psi manifold gauge set, 4000psi-rated hoses, automotive AC service port adapters (R134a and R1234yf), flare fitting adapters, can tap adapters, small parts, minor tools, and a fabric bag to keep everything together. The kit is safely compatible with higher pressure AC systems (e.g., R410A) because of the higher-pressure rating of the gauge set and hoses. You’ll notice in one of the photos that I cut the top off the box for the vacuum pump. That helps maintain the shape of the vacuum pump portion of the bag. I’ll be making a similar box from wood or plastic with a notch for hanging the gauge set for long-term use. I’ll also find a small plastic storage case for all the adapters and miscellaneous items. The hoses fit nicely into a gallon-size poly bag. That way, the fabric bag will keep its shape, and everything will remain clean. When filling the vacuum pump with oil, add slowly and run the pump briefly between additions of oil to prevent overfilling. The on-off switch is large and easy to operate while wearing mechanic's gloves. The pump is filled through the combination breather and filler cap. I tend to keep the oil level near the mid-point of the sight-glass to prevent oil from leaking out of the breather if the pump is not kept fully upright. The pump has a T-fitting which can be used to add refrigerant to an AC system if your manifold doesn’t have a T-fitting (note: the included gauge set has a T-fitting on the center manifold port). The gauges of the manifold are easy to read. Storage connections are provided for R134a adapters (or hose ends when the adapters are installed) on the gauge manifold. The scales are clearly marked but related to degrees Fahrenheit (F), psi, and inHg only. Thus, if you use Metric System readings, this kit would not be the set for you. When ordering, I didn’t notice if the kit was available with a gauge set marked in metric scales. The entire service kit is priced comparable to a good vacuum pump and manifold gauge set, plus this set includes numerous adapters and a storage bag – a complete servicing kit. ... show more

I do a lot of maintenance on my cars, including maintaining the air conditioning systems on them. Two years ago, I finally get a set of refrigerant gauges so I had some sort of visibility into the mysterious process of recharging the air conditioning system. Last year I got a cheap, compressed air powered vacuum pump, and although it worked, my air compressor could barely pout out enough air to pull the full vacuum and maintain it. This kit from VIVOHOME contains everything that I'll need to properly service the air conditioning systems on my cars and apparently my house too! It has multiple adapters for the refrigerant ports, a gauge set with lines, valve core tools, other adapters, the compressor, a carrying case and even the compressor oil. I like how the gauge lines store by plugging into the gauge set. I need to replace the condenser on one of my cars this week, so I'll be using this compressor to pull the vacuum before recharging the system. Tenía mis dudas antes de realizar esta adquisición porque a veces estos kits tan completos fallan en la calidad de los detalles, pero la verdad es que este paquete de VIVOHOME me ha dejado muy satisfecho. Lo primero que notas al abrir la caja es que no escatimaron en accesorios; trae absolutamente todo lo necesario para ponerse a trabajar de inmediato, incluyendo el aceite para la bomba y una variedad de acoples y mangueras que se sienten de uso rudo. Los manómetros tienen una lectura bastante clara y las escalas vienen bien calibradas, algo que se agradece cuando necesitas precisión en el vacío de un sistema de aire acondicionado. Lo que más me convenció fue la potencia de los 3.5 CFM; hace el vacío de forma constante y sin calentarse en exceso, lo cual habla muy bien de la construcción del motor. El hecho de que incluya esa maleta de transporte azul es un puntazo a favor, porque mantiene todo organizado y evita que las piezas pequeñas se pierdan entre las herramientas del coche o el taller. Las conexiones doradas y los adaptadores rápidos ajustan perfecto, sin fugas de aire molestas que suelen arruinar el trabajo en equipos más económicos. Incluso el manual viene con ilustraciones paso a paso que son super útiles si es la primera vez que manejas una bomba de este tipo. Se nota que es un equipo robusto, con un peso que te da confianza de que no es puro plástico, y el diseño del asa hace que sea cómodo moverla a pesar de su solidez. Si buscas una solución integral que te evite estar buscando piezas por separado, esta es de las mejores opciones que he visto últimamente.
