  • Took about an hour of careful assembly, works great
I like this keyboard and mouse articulated shelf. It is connected to my desk (IKEA particle board) and seems sturdy enough to last. The tension adjustment seemed odd, but it worked perfectly to keep my wireless mouse and keyboard right where I want them. I’m very pleased. At full extension it does have some wobble, but it’s not terrible and I did expect that (it’s a long lever arm, after all). It isn’t interfering with my ability to work, but I imagine if you are heavy-handed on the keyboard or mouse, it might bother you to have the arm length out as far as it can go in a straight line. Even a slight angle would help make it more stable for you, I expect. ... show more

  • Very Convenient
We have a piece of equipment at our shop and you need to use a keyboard. Unfortunately for the ridiculous amount we paid for said piece of equipment, a bed for a keyboard was, overlooked. We attached this arm to the frame of the equipment and it has worked great! It is a little wobbly but it’s not bad where you can’t use it. I feel that I am hesitant to rest my hands entirely. Overall though I would recommend it as it is extremely convenient and easy to use ... show more

  • Solid tray that mounts well
I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of this piece. Mounting was fairly easy and the springs are solid. Two years in and it's holding up well.

  • This is a repurposed monitor arm, and it shows.
Got this to replace an under desk keyboard tray. My problem that this was supposed to solve is that the undermount version doesn't accommodate my legs being also present under my desk. So my idea was to mount a tray to the left on my wall and swing it over when I need it. I need the workspace so the keyboard and mouse can't go on the desktop. First thing to note, the height it set by tensing a single bolt in the furthest arm. It is a process to release the tension. Once you get it right...well you didn't...because if you bump it from underneath it will go flying up. If you remove more tension, merely putting your hands on the keyboard = max drop. Second, for side mounting I hope you like a tilted keyboard if you don't swivel correctly. You see, for some dumb reason they decided the end of this arm needed two joints. If the outer most joint is turned sideways, the tray will lean. You have turn the inner most joint and keep the outer straight. So why have two joints there? Third, the tray is SMALL. If you have a basic keyboard this is fine. But if you need space for a wrist pad or your keyboard has a built-in wrist pad...nope. Got a longer keyboard with a set of function keys to the side, no space for your mouse. If you have a wireless mouse, watch it slide off because there is no bottom lip. There a lip at the top, so a keyboard with too much distance from front has to hang over the bottom and thus be velcroed on. The VIVO does provide the velcro. Finally, they give you tension screws and caps to secure two sections of the arm to the next, but NOTHING for the tray. You can literally whack the tray from the bottom and it will fly off - keyboard and all. If this is for a basic workstation with no desk surface...knock yourself out. Otherwise, find something that wasn't designed to hold a computer monitor and fitted with a different head. ... show more

  • Crazy amount of parts to assemble
First, there are way too many parts for such a simple device. Three different sizes of allen wrenches. Every adjustment requires an allen wrench. The pneumatic arm did not work. It would not stay in position no matter how much I tightened the tension. I get it, this is a "cheap" item at less than one hundred dollars when other solutions are in the two hundred dollar range. However, that does not mean it should be so cheaply made that it doesn't actually work. This product needs to be redesigned from the ground up. I will try to find some other solution. ... show more

  • Great product design, execution of that design doesn't quite meet expectations
For the most part, this product exactly meets the need I have for it in my music studio. It went together very easily except for the final adjustment which was the joint that keeps the keyboard tray from flopping down and dumping your keyboard on the floor. I don't know if it's a manufacturing defect, design defect, or what but tightening the bolt per the instructions does not prevent the tray from flopping down with even the slightest pressure. I examined this articulation point and found that the bolt was bottoming out before enough clamping pressure was applied to actually clamp the joint tightly and I couldn't find anything missing in the documentation that would indicate a defective shipment of the product, nor did it appear damaged. So I rummaged around my spare parts bin, found a washer that fit the gap and I'm in business. But I shouldn't have to fix a $100 keyboard arm, especially after having to go through I don't remember how many delayed shipping notices to get the thing... All in all I think it took over a month for this thing to get delivered... I'm not going to return it for want of a $0.05 washer and lord knows how long a wait but I do think this is a flaw in the design that should be resolved. I really resent having to tell manufacturers how to make their products work... ... show more

  • Perfect space saver and very functional !!!
We purchased an RV and although it has a dinner table , I still needed an office type desk surface. This product worked very well !!! I was able to mount it on a wall near a bench. This allowed me to swing the unit around near the bench where it could support my computer to do my work , while my wife could use the dinner table. It truly is a great space saver and functions well to hold up a computer or book or whatever. ... show more

  • Practical, effective, and space saving
Sturdy, made of quality materials. Able to be adjusted to suit your needs. Two critiques: One, the stand that holds the keyboard came in two pieces and had to be joined together by a convoluted method. Two: There is no lip to keep the keyboard from sliding off the stand but instead they provide Velcro tabs to be place on the bottom of the keyboard to fasten it into place. As long as you don't mine having it unmovable it does the job, but would be easily fix in having a lip. ... show more
