I have been using this mount for several weeks now. It has a small footprint and looks attractive on my desk.     • Weight of the Monitor tips it down
As stated in the title, the weight of the monitor makes it continually tip down. It is a "ball and socket" type of controller (for lack of a better word) that handles that type of movement, which sounds wonderful, until it doesn't perform as advertised. The assembly directions were fairly clear, but none of the hardware was labelled, so it was a hit and miss kind of thing while assembling it as well. When attempting to set the height, it took one person to hold the monitor at the desired height, and another to tighten the nut with the provided allen wrench, which has to be tightened almost beyond human capabilities to hold the monitor at the desired height. I won't be returning it, I spent too much time putting it together - but buyer beware! ... show more

    • Works ok but there are better options out there for larger monitors.
The good: The stand looks nice, takes up minimal desk space and works, putting it together was a breeze, it's stable and holds my 27" monitor in place. The bad: It uses some odd domed mount (think tripod ball head if you cut off the top 1/8 of an inch), which has limited range of motion and feels like it lacks staying power compared to the standard 2 axis (up/down, left/right) mounts everything else uses. If you adjust your monitor quite a bit I expect you'll be tightening it down a fair amount. The hex-key to tighten it didn't come with my stand, the one they included was too big. Not a real problem I grabbed something from my tool kit but if you don't own a hex set you may be making a hardware store run. The base extends out in front of a mounted monitor by about an inch, for smaller monitors that are kept low to the desktop it should be fine but for my 27" that I use the stand to position it above my laptop screen it's almost too top heavy. It doesn't take much force to tip it forward, it's not going to do it on its own but an average sized cat leaning up on it from behind would easily be enough for it to tip. If you plan on using it for a vertical orientation skip it altogether, when I had the monitor in portrait orientation it felt like if I sneezed it was going to dump it on the floor. ... show more

    • Wrong size allen wrench, METRIC size needed.
I bought a wonderful 27" monitor, but the stand was not adjustable, and it was too high for my taste. This stand looked like the best option for my glass top desk. It seems very sturdy and well made, and worked perfectly for my application. The base is smokey glass, which matched my desktop. Assembly took some time. The up and down adjustment was tricky by myself. I simply put a pillow on my desktop, and put it back and forth until I got it right. Like others I received the wrong allen wrench for the tilt. My SAE keys didn't work, so I had to stop everything to go to the store and buy a metric set. Infuriating ! ... show more

Bought a 24 inch Vizio TV to use as a second monitor for TV in my office/guest room. I wanted something where I could adjust the height and angle since this isn’t doable with the normal “TV feet”, I also wanted to be able to put on the corner of the desk but the feet would fall off the side. The look of this stand is ok kind of blah and old school looking but definitely does everything I need it to do. It’s sturdy, was easy to assemble even though directions were slightly confusing but so simple looking at the photos. I wanted to address something in other reviews that made me weary to purchase about the swivel not holding the weight of the monitor and it tips down. I ran into this as well but there is an Allen wrench to adjust at the bottom of the swivel which will tighten and hold up the screen. It was easier for me to adjust this tighter when the screen wasn’t on just yet as I knew the TV weighs more than my normal computer monitors. ... show more

    • Good quality - I was looking for a stand for a cubicle with limited height
I bought a 32" monitor recently and my desk has overhead storage and therefore a limited height. As if monitors don't have a million options/sizes these days, the stands also vary. Once I found the monitor I wanted, the stand was very deep and tall. I have limited space on my desk so I shopped for stands that are small (depth, front to back) and allow the monitor to basically go all the way to the bottom. I took a chance on this mount and it's great. The build and quality is fantastic. The only con in my book is that the hex screw to adjust tilt is tiny. It does what it needs to do but if you plan to move the monitor around regularly, this screw may give out or not hold the monitor. i saw a good rating and bought it thinking this is a simple design but it was a frustration. You CAN'T put together because the screws were short and i have to put some spacers underneath the vertical pole to separate them out. It was horrible design. you better buy a different one. I am an engineer and consider myself a handy man but have to open my toolbox finding all little things to fix this one. ... show more

    • Awesome stand
On my BF's desk his 32 inch curved monitor (From AOC) wouldn't fit underneath the upper cupboard part due to the old stand not being able to raise or lower, plus the older legs extended out a solid 8 inches and bled into the mouse pad area a bit. This fixed that issue by just giving it a solid base, overall it's really sturdy and took me about 15 mins to assemble and get exactly how I wanted it. Lowered it enough to fit into the area. 10/10 would buy again ... show more
