  • Weight range not accurate.
I have a 11.8lbs monitor that would have been supported by the claim that this monitor arm supports up to 20lbs. Unfortunately that is not the case. Tension adjusted to be stiff, to the point that there is not a single screw left that could be spun any longer. The arm just wants to position itself lower than where it is set and tilt the monitor down. Overall, range of motion is great, assembly was fine but the sturdiness I am docking for the issues mentioned. Other than that, I don't see this arm breaking any time soon. ... show more

  • Awesome monitor arm that considers both form and function, while holding my 34" ultrawide well!
Compared to the competition, this monitor arm looks great and is very reasonably priced for what you get. I've been using mine to hold my 34" Ultrawide monitor without any issues, and it looks great on my desk. The arm feels sturdy and only wobbles slightly when I put my standing desk at the highest position. I like how the design looks sleeker than other arms that are similarly priced, and it's also nice that the cables have a designated space to go, in order to maintain a cord-free look. If I had to choose another monitor arm to buy, I would definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Weak hold at vesa mount
I got the arm adjusted to the weight of my monitor but the neck where the vesa mount is attached tilts down. I own a 27 in monitor.

  • Great Stand
I finally decided on this arm after seeing negative reviews at the top of every monitor arm/stand I could find. I figured going with a metal one was a better bet to reduce wobble and better secure my somewhat expensive Zowie monitor. I could not be happier with my purchase, it cleared up A TON of room on my desk compared to the fat stand that came with my monitor. I don't really move my monitor at all, but I was able to place it exactly where I want it and just leave it there. It was fairly straight forward to set up even coming from someone who has no prior experience with anything like this. The only thing worth mentioning is that the part that controls the up/down tilt had to be tightened pretty tight until it would hold. I wasn't sure I was doing it right because it didn't seem to move much, but it definitely does tighten. I believe almost all the bad reviews must've just been people who got a bad unit which can be easily returned or replaced through Amazon's generous return policy. It is not fair at all to give the company no chance to fix any issues which many reviewers seemed to do. Something I can say is the arm is fairly hard to move when the arm is not anchored to anything, which is probably the cause for some of the complaints about it being too stiff. It's likely that some units are actually too tight, but for my unit, once I attached it to my desk, it's fine. It's still firm, but very easily movable with just one hand. The upper arm moves by just pulling on the monitor, but the lower one I would adjust by hand if you ever need to move it. Similarly, some reviewers just didn't read any instructions and don't understand that you have to tighten a bolt to increase the pressure of the pneumonic arm. It is not supposed to hold up the monitor out of the box, you are supposed to adjust it to suit your monitor's weight. It's not extremely obvious which way is loosening or tightening, but worst case you can just try both until it works. One thing to note is that you will need probably about an inch of clearance behind your desk, so your desk cannot be pushed flush with a wall if you are attaching this to the back. It was very easy for me to just move my desk a tiny bit forward to get around that. Just make sure you've considered that before buying in case you're unable to move your desk to accommodate. Other than that, my desk is slightly curved in the back but it still clamps on very sturdy and I have absolutely no worry that it won't hold. Overall this is a very good product and I will definitely be buying another if I decide to get another monitor. If you're on the fence because of some bad reviews like I was, I am confident you will not regret buying this. ... show more

  • Adjusting tension can be a chore - bordering on impossible
I purchased this particular unit based on reviews not realizing I had purchased a double-arm version on a pole a while back. After getting the first part of the assembly together and starting to work on putting the monitor on, I was quickly reminded of an issue that happened with the other stand also - tension adjustments. The basic arm adjustment can be tedious, but is not particularly difficult. In my case, I had purchased a open box item, and it was clear that the person that had it first had adjusted the tension to be very low. No worries, after many turns of the tension adjustment, the arm stayed up just fine with the monitor attached. Then came the real problem - the tension of the up/down tilt of the monitor (not the arm, but the up/down hinge point). My monitor kept wanting to tip down towards the desk. Each turn of the adjustment was challenging, but within a ½ to ¾ turn, it became downright brutal. I was only barely able to get it tight enough for the monitor to hold normal position. That's a start taken away - I debated two. Also, the directions are unclear. Much of it is just fine, but there are ambiguities in location, turn direction, and specific item that would have been easy to adjust for in the existing docs, but nope. It call came together, but guesses had to be made, and that just leads to unnecessary stress. Overall, I'm giving it a 3. It eventually did what it is supposed to be, but only after far too long of me doubting I was going to get everything adjusted enough to meet the need. ... show more

  • not perfect but very good
We tried another arm that we had to return. This one was the better option for our space (very near a wall). It doesn't adjust just perfectly but it's close and seems sturdy and well made. We like it alot.
