This review is for the 70" x 30" model. The desk was shipped immediately and arrived in a timely manner in two separate boxes (one for desktop and one for the frame). The boxes were large and heavy. There was some damage to the box for the desktop, but it was well protected, so no damage to the product itself. It was very easy to assemble. I had to drill a few pilot holes for screws though because I think the pre-drilled holes on my desktop were intended for a model with a motor and control panel, but mine is manual with a hand crank. Other than that, it was fine. The hand crank assembly has more plastic parts than I would prefer, but I tested it out quite a bit and it seems sturdy. Overall, the desk itself is also sturdy. Don't do what I did and order a different brand name under-desk drawer at the same time you order the desk. I had to return that today and order Vivo brand drawers: A 13" wide drawer to fit between the brackets in the center and a 16" wide drawer that hangs low enough to fit over the bracket on the left-hand side. I also ordered a basket to mount below the desk toward the back to manage cables. I didn't like the Vivo brand cable manager, so I went with something different that I know will also work. I already have a Vivo brand pole style dual monitor stand that I've been using on my old desk, but for this desk I think I'll put each monitor back on its original base and I purchased an extra wide monitor stand to set them on. Even though this desk sells for under $300, getting it configured the way I want brings the total closer to $500, but I still think it's a fair price and a quality product. ... show more

    • Loving my new table!

Be aware that the table is delivered in 2 pieces (separate shipments). The deliveries came on separate days a couple of days apart. The packaging was in good condition and there was no damage to the table or any of the parts. The assembly took a little time and the instructions are not clear. Had to figure out a couple of steps and things on my own and also figured out an easier way to do it rather than the mentioned instructions. There were a couple of spots requiring holes to be drilled which was a pain because I don't have a drill. Ended up just using brute force to turn the screws into the wood but the finished product was still clean and didn't wobble. Love the manual crank! This was the only model I could find with the crank in the front which, is a space saver (compared to the side cranks) and is great because I felt like electronic ones could be a hassle to maintain in case there was an issue. The height adjustment is easy and I love my standing desk. the desk wobbles a little when you're changing heights but is sturdy once you've reached the height/position you want. It's also just the right height for me when I'm seated and much better on my posture and shoulders. GREAT value for money in my mind and I'm hoping to have and use it for a long time! ... show more

My main priorities when selecting a desk were: Quality: did not want it to fall apart on me, and I did not trust the motors on the cheaper desks. Cost: did not want to regret it if I did not use it as much as I thought I would Space: did not want yet another huge piece of furniture that I wouldn't use post-Covid (I'm an optimist). This desk met my criteria. Quality: the parts are all solid, and arrived without a single blemish on them. I was particularly impressed by the laminated particle board top, which was heavier and more attractive than I had expected. The hand crank also meant that I do not have to worry about a burned out motor when I'm out of warranty. Cost: while not exactly cheap at $229, there will be much less regret if I stop using it after a year, than if I'd spent $500 or more. Space: this is probably one of the smallest sizes that will still work as an office desk. Again, I can see it finding a second life as a utility desk, even if I no longer need it for office work. I also figured that (if needed) the Vivo monitor desk mount stand would give me extra desk space for a very modest $25 extra. Installation was fairly straightforward. The Vivo web site has videos that supplement the excellently written instruction manual. The hardest part was screwing in the top board, where the pre-drilled holes simply did not want to align. This desk did need 2 people to stand it upright after completion. I chose not to mount the hand crank, as I expect to mostly just leave it in a standing position, and will reach for the crank only as needed. If I change my mind, it's just 4 wood screws, so not a big deal. The table is fairly stable even when mostly extended. I haven't been bothered by any excessive shaking yet - but I'll check back in here, if that gets to be a problem as I begin to use it more. Overall, for the price, I am cautiously optimistic that I won't regret my purchase. ... show more
