I did a ton of research before choosing this product. I looked at all the more expensive electric tables and saw a lot of negative comments about motor failure. I already have a beautiful desk for sitting so I really needed one to get out from under stretch and even use a walking pad that should arrive tomorrow. Putting it together was very straightforward. The instructions were clear and all screws and parts labelled. Prepare to spend about 30-40 minutes putting it together carefully, simply because the first time putting anything together when you don't know takes longer than when you become familiar. The parts are heavy and the desk is solid - the way ir should be. Even the crank mechanism is made well. Some have criticized the plastic crank itself --- it's a relative nonissue for me. I'm not cranking this up and down twenty times a day. Maybe I would have opted for an electronic version if I was. But if you need to crank this just a few times during your work day, it's no biggie to do so. For the price, it's a huge bang for the buck.

My main priorities when selecting a desk were: Quality: did not want it to fall apart on me, and I did not trust the motors on the cheaper desks. Cost: did not want to regret it if I did not use it as much as I thought I would Space: did not want yet another huge piece of furniture that I wouldn't use post-Covid (I'm an optimist). This desk met my criteria. Quality: the parts are all solid, and arrived without a single blemish on them. I was particularly impressed by the laminated particle board top, which was heavier and more attractive than I had expected. The hand crank also meant that I do not have to worry about a burned out motor when I'm out of warranty. Cost: while not exactly cheap at $229, there will be much less regret if I stop using it after a year, than if I'd spent $500 or more. Space: this is probably one of the smallest sizes that will still work as an office desk. Again, I can see it finding a second life as a utility desk, even if I no longer need it for office work. I also figured that (if needed) the Vivo monitor desk mount stand would give me extra desk space for a very modest $25 extra. Installation was fairly straightforward. The Vivo web site has videos that supplement the excellently written instruction manual. The hardest part was screwing in the top board, where the pre-drilled holes simply did not want to align. This desk did need 2 people to stand it upright after completion. I chose not to mount the hand crank, as I expect to mostly just leave it in a standing position, and will reach for the crank only as needed. If I change my mind, it's just 4 wood screws, so not a big deal. The table is fairly stable even when mostly extended. I haven't been bothered by any excessive shaking yet - but I'll check back in here, if that gets to be a problem as I begin to use it more. Overall, for the price, I am cautiously optimistic that I won't regret my purchase.

I like the for many reasons. I had a similar desk I was using after I sold by super large desk set, and liked it but just needed something longere. The top is a nice thick piece of wood and look clean, crisp and with good quality. I love there are no bars underneath aside from the two outside legs as this allows me to put my feet up on an ottoman. This was generally easy to put together, aside from having to use a drill for four small started holes for screws. I think this is because they use the same desk for electric as manual since there were a bunch of tiny predrilled holes underneath, but you can see them once done. but, I had a drill even though I rarely use it and was able to do what was needed with ease. I Just took my time. it took me about an hour to put together. the crank manual is easy to use. I love it and could not be more happy with how it looks. One trick that worked was leaving the wood top on the padded styrofoam it was packed with until it was completely put together since you dont need to turn it over till it is completed. it comes in two seperate mailings, one with the top wood and one with the rest. Buy this, you will be happy.

I work from home 2 days per week & had a traditional desk. I work 10-hour days & recently started having tingling legs, back pain & other issues. I decided to purchase an adjustable desk. I wanted a hand crank as I didn't want yet another electronic device that could break. After hours of looking at desks, I chose a VIVO due to all of the good ratings. I couldn't be any happier! The shipping was incredibly quick. It was boxed appropriately so no damage, easy to put together and it's very sturdy as well as aesthetically pleasing. I also got the VIVO monitor stand, which I am also loving! I am using a padded balance board & can pretty much stand during my whole workday. I crank it down to eat my lunch but otherwise I stand & rock on my balance board. I can also put my rebounder trampoline under it to do some light bouncing while working. With sitting being the new smoking, I needed to make a change in order to get off my rear! I am so glad I chose the VIVO desk to help me meet this goal. Excellent product!! :)
