So this is supposed to be a walking shoe. Yes, it is supportive and has a good walking sole and seems to be wearing well after repeated multi-mile walks. However, this shoe is very hard on my feet. There doesn't seems to be much padding. changed out the insoles which helped, but it is still like walking on concrete. Additionally, these shoes are VERY heavy. What a great deal! But I had to return the first pair 11/M (which I normally wear) and exchange them for an 11/W. Problem solved ... The shoe itself is of the best quality. For what I paid for them I think I got a great value.

There just isn't a good selection anywhere for size 16 shoes that I'd wear. Most of the time they're "boring". I wore black oxfords for 30 years, and when I retired I said "no more!". I stumbled on to these shoes while searching for something new, and glad I found them. They're well-made, comfortable, and they're not boring. I think the only beef I have is that the color is less yellow and more mustard, but beggars can't be choosers. Now, I need a bright green pair to complete the rainbow in my closet. ... show more
