Bought this for my home office, had one at my work office as well. Vivo makes really sturdy standup desks in my experience. It will go up and down easier once you have some weight on it, like your laptop and a monitor. Easy to assemble. Ok, so this is very easy to put together and set up. I really like the minimal, no fuss style. I found that it went up and down easily right from the beginning. When I took it out of the box, I did notice a slight dent on the edge of the top shelf but nothing bad enough to bother with a return or anything. However, after one day of use, one of the screws that connects the lifting mechanism frame to the bottom of the top shelf somehow can out of the screw hole and the hole was effectively ruined. Not sure how this happened or if it was related to the dent I noticed (the dent was very close to the screw location), but I reached out the Amazon right away. They got me in touch with the manufacturer/seller and the customer service was great! They responded very quickly with the offer of sending a replacement unit that is being shipped right away. I am totally satisfied with the product otherwise, this seems like maybe a small QC issue which sometimes happens. For the price, the unit otherwise functions as expected and is exactly what I needed. It isnโ€™t as sturdy as the Vari desk converter I used to have at my old job but that was easily three times the price. We will see how it holds up but I would recommend this unit. ... show more

Before putting my monitors on top it was super quick to raise up and hard to push down. Now with monitors on top, it's easy to push down and take 2 hands to lift up. It's still pretty easy to lift up. So far I love it. It goes so well with my new workstation at home
