I was looking for a solid adjustable height desk for my home office, I was looking at another more expensive desk when my wife declared she did not like the color (who's office is it? ;). Found this one in a 'walnut' color that my wife found acceptable. The following is what I can tell you about my experience; I hope yours is the same. Delivery time: Deliver date was given as a week after I ordered it, however it arrived just two days after I ordered it. So high marks there. Packing/shipping package: The desk came in two parts - one for the legs/mechanicals and one for the desktop. I get the impression that you could purchase the legs and add your own custom top (perhaps from a cabinet maker or Home Depot/Lowe's, which is a terrific option. In retrospect, I might have done that.) The shipping packaging was solid. All pieces have sufficient amount of cardboard or stryrofoam to protect it from reasonable amounts of shipping damage. There is a high degree of likelihood that your desk will arrive in great shape. Material quality: Very good, more than I was expecting. The desktop is a 1" thick laminated top with clean ends, rounded edges and solid production - no visible voids, excess glue, corner chips, etc.. The legs appear to be of a sturdy guage of steel suitable for this application. Welds are smooth, clean, and complete. Finish appears to be powder coating and seems to be durable. Lift controller/control panel use high-quality computer/electronics-grade connections. Wires are more than sufficient grade for the application. A small bag of extra parts (screws, grommets, etc.) is included. Set up: The set up is pretty easy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are places where you will have to drill pilot holes, per the instructions, and that might be a challenge for some. Otherwise, the installation instructions are complete and quite easy to follow. Operation: Changing desk heights is easy and fast. There appears to be circuitry to account for acceleration and deceleration which works terrifically well. When I considered a 'standing' desk, I was concerned that changing desk heights was going to be cumbersome or slow, which would not motivate me to use it as a standing desk. The movement is quick and efficient. For my sitting position to the standing position (I'm tall) takes about 15-16 seconds - made very easy with the memory buttons. You press the button and it adjusts the height to where you want it. Works much better than I was expecting. Overall impression: This is a terrific desk. Much better quality than expected for the price. The first desk I was looking at was $400 more, so I saved a significant amount of cash. And...my wife likes the color! ;) The only 'con' I have is the desktop came in 4 pieces. Would have been nice if this was just two pieces. With 4 pieces it made it very easy to ship - a smaller package that requires less packing material to protect it. There are, however, 3 seams in the top where the pieces join. To be honest, having used the desk for a bit I really don't notice it much. And unless you are specifically looking for it, it looks like every other joined board tabletop. Everything else on this desk is great. I doubt you will be disappointed. Update 6/30/23: It is now about a month and a half after I purchased this desk. I am even more happier with it. I really don't notice the seams. My boys have been using the desk when I am not there, set it for their heights. It really is a nice product at a nice price. No complaints and very pleased with it. I have had several people comment on how awesome the desk is, and inquire where they can get one. ... show more

I finished setting up this desk today - it is a fantastic desk, capable of holding 2 32" monitors, a tower PC, and a laptop with ample room to spare. The cable management is very nice, lots of room under the desk to stick things. The motor is also extremely quiet - not silent, but quiet enough that it is not annoying at all. My only complaint is that the packaging for the desk is terrible - the frame has great packaging, but the type of Styrofoam used in the desk itself crumbles and leaves residue everywhere, including on the desk. TLDR: A really solid desk that should be considered when shopping for standing L desks. Detailed: I spent months researching options for a standing desk and decided to give this one a try. I received the desk in two separate boxes and just be aware they are super heavy. I unpackaged everything and there was no major damage except to one of the leg's motor connector pieces. I reached out to the ViVo support team and they sent me a whole new leg in a very reasonable amount of time at no extra cost. Overall a positive experience with support. Putting together the desk was a bit of a pain. None of the pieces are labeled and while it doesn’t take too long to figure out what piece goes with what letter in the instructions, it is a bit annoying (could easily be fixed with little stickers or letters on the bags of screws/pieces). Assembly needs a lot of space as you have to essentially build it upside down and then flip it over, you will need 2 people to do this. Predrilled holes are in the right spots but the instructions are a bit confusing as mine was showing a smaller desk and some instructions didn't apply. There were a few pieces that came with my desk that I didn't need (like this small black square that fit the desk in the instruction manual but not my specific desk). Really not that hard to get together, just take it slow and steady and use your brain. That being said it could be easier with labeled pieces and only parts that apply to your desk. I've been using the desk for about 3 months now and love it. I've been working from home for about 3 years now and this is a huge upgrade for me. Plenty of space for my work set up and my personal PC / 3 monitors / plants / 2 keyboards / etc. I use the standing function way more than I thought I would and find myself standing for hours without even noticing it. The programable height settings are so awesome, allows me to quickly go from the height an inch or two above my chair's arms to standing in seconds. The motors are quiet and work well, meaning they don't sound stressed with the weight of items I have on the desk or wobble the items on the desk. I thought the finish would be a finger print and dust magnet but it actually isn't bad, my old L desk made out of cheap fake wood was way worse. Really happy with the purchase, I was able to expense the desk with my remote budget so cost wasn't a huge concern. Personally, I'd be happy with it even if the cost came out of my pocket. If you are looking for a solid standing L desk I'd recommend it. ... show more

I normally wouldn't make a post about a product but this one does derserve it. The desk assembly itself was straight forward and luckily there was no damage at all to mine after delivery. It's pretty stable imo but for those of you who aren't sure you can also by an addon to add the extra stability you want. Now as to why I gave it 4 stars instead of a straight 5 is while it does come with preplaced holes for you to place screws I noticed that a few to hold the power hub for the legs and control weren't there for this specific desk. But all in all really satisfied with it for the first week of being assembled. Vivo keep it up and everyone I did buy other Vivo addons for this which I will also do reviews on once my back recovers from this job hahah. ... show more
