  • Good product and value, limited height range
Color: Black
Good product I’ve bought a few VIVO products before this and they’ve all been great. Sadly this desk does not height-adjust as low I need for my setup in a seated position. This was an oversight on my part. Check the specs to make sure they’re suitable for your needs.

  • This desk is awesome!
Color: Black
Short version: Vivo makes an outstanding standing desk. It's fast, smooth, quiet and easy to assemble (and disassemble--see tl;dr below). If you've got your own desktop, this makes a great frame to build on. Longer version (warning: unsolicited praise ahead): I bought this to upgrade my wfh setup. I had too much on my desk for my old-ish pneumatic desk to raise without lifting and I wanted more surface area to work with. Looking around, there's not many 72" options out there that come in at less than $1k, so I found a kitchen countertop at my local big-box hardware store for about $200 and started looking for legs. Vivo's dual motor setup is great, BUT there were a few hiccups along the way. When I assembled the desk, the left leg wouldn't raise -- I was getting two errors: E02 and E10. After running through the troubleshooting, I crossed my fingers and called customer service. Here's where this experience went from mildly annoying to awesome. First, Vivo's tech support runs from 7am-7pm (Central US time) Monday to Saturday. If you call, you will get a live human. Even better: This being a US company, I got US tech support (not complaining about off-shoring tech support here) so when I had a technical question, the CS rep went and face-to-face *asked* the technical expert!! Second, customer service arranged to send me a new leg when it was clear that the old one was borked. Waited a few days and the new leg arrives. In the meantime, I'd set up my new desk and was using it for work and wasn't looking forward to taking everything off to replace. BUT Vivo's design is so good, I didn't need to! Unfortunately, the leg was an older model. After calling back to CS, they profusely apologized and had a correct model leg to me in two days. The keypad is easy to program, the legs move quickly and in sync to very high levels. Can support wfh setups for tall people, too! Finally, the legs are quite adjustable, with small incremental movement and sturdy foot levelers (mine rests on and off a rug without issue). Once everything was in, I decided to write this review. Through it ALL, I had great technical and customer support from Vivo. They were prompt, communicative and pleasant to work with! I will definitely be looking to them again the next time I need something they sell (they do more than desk legs) and I will absolutely recommend them to anyone I know. tl;dr: Don't settle when buying a standing desk. Find a good surface and put Vivo's legs under it! ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations
Color: Black
I made a top for this out of curly maple. The base itself is pretty sturdy. The materials seem to be quality enough. The height indicator is in cm and not inches but the heights listed in the specs are accurate enough. Transition from seated to standing is quiet and steady. I don't really have anything negative to say about this, fun little diy project. The desk top is about 58-59" wide, 28.5 inches deep, and 1 1/8" thick. The base is adjustable to match the length of your top. ... show more

  • Great Value!
Color: Black
The desk base arrived today and I completed the installation in under an hour. This included all the unpacking, removal of the legs from my previous stationary desktop, etc. Directions were straightforward and easy to follow. The screw counts in the directions account for overage (directions indicate 10 of one type but only 8 are actually needed). I had a few counts where I was short of the declared quantity in the directions but found I still had all that I needed for the assembly. Assembly was easy and no issues with any structural or electrical components. First impressions upon assembly are good. The desk seems sturdy, legs function as expected. Set the memories for one standing and one seated position. The motor is not noisy at all – I can hear the motor, but it is a low hum. I mean how often do you move it where the noise is a problem? Works for me. One mistake I made was I left the control panel too recessed under the desk so that I kind of have to look under to read which button is what. A simple adjustment has brought it forward and I am quite happy now. Overall, very pleased. I think that the cost to value ratio is very good. And considering I was prepared to pay more to get something I “thought” might be better I am very happy with my decision so far. I will try to remember to follow up in 30 days to give an updated review. 34 Day Update: So it has been 34 days since I received and assembled the standing desk legs and (knock on wood) I have had no issues with the product, performance, etc. I use the desk 5 days a week and probably change the position (from standing to sitting) 4 times a day. as far as weight on the unit my calculations are that have about 95 lbs on the legs, (Details - desktop @ 61lbs; 2 monitors @ 2.5 lbs each; dual arm monitor stand @ 8.5 lbs; power strip/surge protector @ 1 lb, Laptop @ 8.5 lbs; and docking station @ 2.5 lbs 10 lbs misc - keyboard, mouse, coffee cup :), picture of the family, phone charging station, water bottle, etc. ). I hope this helps people considering this as a purchase. ... show more

  • Powerful and quiet
Color: Black
I bought this unit with 2 motors because I wanted it to work well with a 6 foot solid wood top- it's super heavy. I am so pleased with the way it came together. After assembly I failed to attach the control unit right away before moving the unit up and down and I think that created some errors. Once I reset everything and turned off force detection mode it works fine. Super quiet motors. I wish the cords between the motors and the control unit were longer so the unit could be mounted further to the side. Otherwise it works great. ... show more

  • Walkingpad desk
This Vivo desk is perfect if you have a desktop already and want to retrofit it with legs/controller only. This is a quality set of legs and super solid/steady. I do a walkingpad under it and have a monitor riser as well and nothing shakes or wobbles. Also my desk is a little over 5 feet long and the VIVO desk does not struggle to lift/support it. The memory buttons are essential - great feature. Last thing I like about this desk is it's the most minimal frame I could locate - we have a small desk area and many adjustable desks are oversize for small spots. This is your best option for a smaller/narrower desk. My experience with a bad leg: When I got this set, one leg malfunctioned out of the box (E10, E20 errors). Both legs would raise easily but one leg would not lower down and would E10 the unit. If this happens to you - contact their Support on live chat because they're very good and quick. I was able to replace the leg with support and now the desk is 100% great. ... show more

  • Did not come with advertised controller
Color: Black
Building a desk. The top is a 74” X 25” X 1” butcher block from Home Depot. Received earlier than expected which was nice. But when I assembled it I noticed it came with the wrong controller. Tested it and it seems to work fine. Just got the collision and uneven legs codes. Once I put the top on I will update review. Emailed VIVO about controller before I did this review and waiting for reply. ... show more

  • Perfect Work From Home/Gaming Desk Stand
Bought two of these to replace my L-shaped, 1980's, laminated wood desk I was using for my work and gaming computers. With a bit of help from my local DIY business, I acquired 2 butcher-block counter tops (74x25), creating two separate desk areas, one for work and one for gaming (with plenty of desktop space to spare). Dual motors are the way to go. Work-time: Sit or stand-up, fast up and down. Playtime: maybe a little bit of overkill, but the option to stand up is always there (besides they are matching). Installation: I recommend a tape measure, some marking/masking tape, and a power screw driver. Took about 20 mins per table, mostly on measuring for my desktop length. Legs easy to assemble, then set the bar/bracket to extend your desktop to your desired length. The extension bar/bracket does not have any measurements on it, here is where the tape measure and tape is needed. When I extend mind, I extended both of them to the maximum I could. Before tightening everything down, I made sure that I evenly space both extension bars between the left and right leg support (Marked them with tape). I also made sure I reserved a minimum of 1/2 inch for the screws to clamp down onto and support the desktop. To accomplish this, I align the bar on the outside desk frame to see where the screw clamps the bar down, making sure I cover 1/2 in for the screw, then I taped the bar with tape on both sides to mark the end of the desk frame, inserted the bar into the desk frame up to the tape mark, then screwed it in permanently and removed the tape. Screwed butcher-block down with screws provided. ... show more

  • Good frame for custom standing desk
I bought this for my husband's desk. I bought the Jarvis frame for my own desk since I needed it to go down lower but I thought this one would be fine for his since he doesn't need as much of a range of height. So far, we like it a lot. I attached it to a large butcher block worktop from Home Depot. The only downside is that one of the holes for the screws was somewhat stripped (resolved this by using a longer screw). Overall, I think it's a good frame for a good price. ... show more

  • Very satisfied and exactly what i wanted
Color: Black
I was worried about how high this would raise and being 5’10 it’s not like i needed a lot. This is perfect for me and my height, it raises well above what i need and is comfortable to stand against and lean on when working. Assembly was pretty simple barring the parts are not labeled so it was a little confusing to determine which way the leg needed to be screwed on, but other than that it was very simple and the screws were easy to tighten ... show more

  • Poor Quality Control. Better on second attempt
Color: Black
Update: i have received and installed a replacement. I've now been using it for now than a month and I'm happy to say that the packaging was much different on the second go and that product had worked great. I attached adhesive clips for wire management were falling off the next day, but that's neglible to me. 4 stars for the new one Original: I'm not sure how this product was allowed to leave the factory. The box it arrived in was undamaged, so I can only assume it was packaged like this. Poor QC can ruin a reputation amd this is my first experience with VIVO. I've returned this for an exchange of the same product, in hopes of a better experience in the second go round. I won't give it a third chance. I'll update the review if things improve ... show more

I love this frame. It's sturdy and silent, and customer service was very accommodating. Loses a star for fragile electronics. I went through several rounds of replacement parts before I realized that the error codes I was seeing were probably caused by plugging in the head unit while the cable to the wall was energized.
