This thing’s capacity to hold 2 monitors, microphone, DSLR, and laptop tray blows my f’ing mind - mostly because it’s so cheap and doesn’t look like much. I built mega desk on the backbone of this thing. I added an additional single sided arm so I could stack my 2x 32” curved Phillips monitors. Like the description says, the dual arm is too short to place 2x 32” monitors side by side (they will fit 27” monitors), which is why mine are stacked. The condenser mic sits on an adjustable mic arm that c-clamped to the back of the arm supporting my top monitor. My phantom power is Velcro’ed onto the bottom of my desk. I’m currently using a gorilla tripod to mount my DSLR onto the arm holding my laptop tray. Bottom line, this load out is almost 40 lbs, and the spine of mega desk is unbroken. If it does break, I’ll lose a couple of grand ignoring the rated weight of the stand. The only complaint is that the dual swivel arm is so tight (I tried to loosen it) that moving my monitor left or right moves the entire stand, and even loosens the c-clamp holding up the entire center bar. I did buy used, so this may not be a manufacturer’s defect. ... show more

I purchased this Vivo Dual Monitor Stand based on reviews and I have no regrets! It is well made, heavy duty and the price was reasonable. The assembly was not difficult for me, but it does come with quite a few parts, many of which I did not need to use. One thing to make note of is that you will need to make sure that you tighten all the screws securely with the Hex wrenches that are provided in this kit. This is especially important when tightening the swivel bracket where your monitors mount on. If you do not tighten these bolts tightly, your monitors will not stay in the position that you need them in. Overall, This stand worked out perfectly for me. I needed to mount one 27inch monitor above one of my current monitors but noticed all tall single pole arms cost more than the dual arm ones. So, knowing my experience and reputation with Vivo products in the past I purchased this one. The mount is described as being for a standing desk, which realistically means it’s a regular mount just taller than most. The pole comes in three sections so you can choose the optimal height, where I was able to only use two instead of three poles which worked out great because I did not want to cut this strong durable metal pole. Holds the monitor snug and does not move. Since I only needed one of the two arms, I tried taking off the screw holding the second arm but it was too tight. I managed to get it alongside the current one which worked out perfectly as it is not an eyesore at all! It’s a great mount. Comes with all the screws and bolts and nuts you would need to drill it into your desk or clamp it on the back of yours (like what I did). I installed this tall VESA mount onto my wife’s compact desk with two 24” Dell monitors attached. It is very stable, and very versatile. I searched around for a stand that would enable me to get her horizontal monitor to sit above her 15” laptop height, and also have a vertical monitor to the left of that, and this did both. This unit is actually quite modular, I was able to remove one arm segment from the right side monitor arm (just remove the bolts and move the end segment one closer), and leave out the middle trunk height bar as well. This allowed me to tailor the mount to the desk exactly and not have an excessively long bar sticking up above either. It includes a few different mounting options which helped since I mistakenly thought I would be able to use the clamp, but ended up using the bolt through the desk method, both felt very stable and well designed. I started with a Ikea 3/4 inch desktop using the clamp. I have 2 monitors in portrait with a single monitor above it. The whole setup would wobble. I upgraded to a 1.5 inch solid butcher block countertop using the grommet mount. Now it's way more sturdy. I can't shake the monitors by bumping the desk. They are still hard to positions because it tends to move the whole unit around. I got some U bolts to put them under the arm mounts so I could pivot them on the pole without adjusting the height. Would of been nice to include some sort of stop collar to do the same thing. I will likely add a brace to the top of the pole to the wall at some point. ... show more

I have never had a stand like this before always just used the stand that the monitors come with and now, I must say I am simply amazed at how well this thing works. The bar on the top has a lot of adjustments where you can really angle your monitors however you want even backwards and you can tighten the bolts down to the point where its almost impossible to move them once they are where you want them. Right now I have 2 27" monitors right above a 42 inch TV. They are both slightly inset to be a bit closer than the TV itself and angled a little down and in wards. This makes for a very interesting setting where I can have information and work on the top two screens and than on the bottom have a game or movies playing. I work from home and have to be on a call 80% of the day "listening to people" but only working about 20% of the day. So, I am playing games on the bottom and watching customer info on the top seamlessly switching back and forth :) The mounting bar by the way is SUPER heavy duty! If there is a zombie apocalypse and I am assuming I will have to leave my home and there will be no power I am taking this thing apart to take this large heavy duty pipe. I really think that if used as a weapon this thing would be insane because of the reach and heft of it! (Yes, very OFF TRACK!) ... show more
