  • Absolutely Wonderful!! So easy to use and excellent quality!
Size: 36" Color: Black
I purchased this for use at work and I have now had it about a week and could not be happier with it. I go through specific details below, but I have a smaller sized desk, a computer, and phone, and some normal desk items on it. I chose the larger version as I also need to be able to place charts and write on the desk and it fit well and I still have extra room. I have to admit I was a little nervous after reading reviews of standing desks in general and a number of concerns about these desks, but I have to say I am 110% happy with this purchase and would purchase it again. I cannot recommend it enough. 1. STABILITY AND MATERIALS - First, the construction is absolutely solid. I saw some reviews saying it looked cheap, but my husband and I both agree that it is a really nice material, solid and sturdy and does not appear cheap in any way. I would have not problem having this on a desk when I had clients in a room. I also read reviews where people said it was unstable, but I have to say mine is as solid as a rock. I adjust the height all the time, I actually lean on it a great deal when writing on charts and never has it wobbled or seemed to tip. Now, I don't know that you can do handstands on it, but for any type of office work it appears to be absolutely solid and stable. My computer screen doesn't shake when I am working on the desk or when I am moving it. And again, I put a fair amount of pressure on it when I am leaning and writing charts and I change the height several times a day. 2. ADJUSTABILITY - So this is where I think this desk absolutely shines. I am constantly working at different levels for different tasks depending on what I am doing and occasionally I still do like to sit. Even when standing, some tasks are more comfortable if the desk is a little higher and some a little lower. I also do sit for other tasks. This desk is 100% able to handle that. There are no "preset" heights that you have to stop at. I can raise and lower it to exactly what works for me for a particular task, adjust it an inch or a centimeter if needed, and it stays right there. No collapsing under pressure, no movement. I don't adjust to it, it adjusts to me. I really like that there are no set intervals I have to use. Also, it is a breeze to raise and lower (absolutely no need for the automatic/electric ones)--- smooth as butter (no clunking at the bottom like I read in some reviews). Again, I am constantly adjusting height depending on my task, so I adjust all the time and it just takes a split second and I don't have to move a single item on my desk. 3. ROOM/WORKSPACE - I have a large monitor, a few items and my phone on the stand (I left the computer base and some items off to the side and I still have a great amount of room. I can open a double pocket folder and write in charts. Just perfect.. I don't feel like I have lost any space on my desk. 4. KEYBOARD SHELF - So yes, the keyboard shelf doesn't move in an out (that would be nice), but after a day I no longer find that to be an issue. The shelf is large enough that I can move the keyboard here or there as I need it so that I am comfortable at any level. When the desk is fully down I am still 100% comfortable typing on the keyboard on the shelf without any issue. The first day or so it took me adjusting the desk placement on my whole desk to find where I wanted to stand, where my hands automatically placed on the shelf vs. where my screen was and where the mouse was-- but after slt adjustments during the day (moving the keyboard to one side of the shelf and the desk a few inches to the left or right), I got it just right and now it feels perfectly natural to walk up to my desk at any height and start working. I would encourage you to play with the location of your screen and the whole desk on your main desk so that you find the sweet spot for everything and that will help greatly. Don't just put everything in the very center and assume it will feel right for you. The keyboard shelf does have a knob so you can adjust the angle of the shelf if you want, but I have to admit mine is just flat and it works well for me, so I can't comment much about the angle options. OVERALL I am completely thrilled with this desk and would recommend it without hesitation. I love it!!! ... show more

  • Highly Recommend - Sturdy, Easy to Assembly, and Cost-effective
Size: 36" Color: Black
I assembled this at home (it only took about 10 minutes from start to finish) and brought it into work the next day. I did need some help carrying it in the building (mainly because it's awkward to carry, not because it's too heavy). Once I set it up, I put two monitors on top, the keyboard and mouse on the keyboard attachment, and pulled it into standing position. I love it for these reasons: 1. Easy to assemble - Took about 10 minutes and all I needed was a phillips head screwdriver. 2. Holds two monitors with room to spare. 3. Sturdy - This was my biggest concern when buying a stand-up desk, but this is at least as sturdy as the $500 version my coworkers purchased. It doesn't shake when I type, whether I'm sitting or standing. 4. Easy lift - The lift mechanism on this is smooth and quiet. It glides to the height you desire and stays there until you're ready to lower it. 5. Cheaper than some of the alternatives - Like I said above, this seems to work just as well as comparable desktops purchased by my coworkers, but I spent less than $200, while they spent upwards of $500. If you're looking for a sit/stand desktop unit, I highly recommend this one. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and works well
Size: 36" Color: Black
I just got this three days ago after doing some research. I liked the size (most stand up converters were 32" and I wanted something a little wider) and reviews were good, plus it was mid range as far as price - not the most expensive and not the cheapest. I am 5'3" 115 lbs so it was a bit of a challenge to move the box from my front door to my office, but otherwise, pretty easy to set up. I do recommend attaching the keyboard after you attach the foot extenders (just expand it). For some reason, the instructions have you turn the desk over and want you to screw in the keyboard upside down which proved too difficult for me. So far, I really like it - i like that I can adjust it to any height. It blends in without being obnoxious because of the matte black finish, is sturdy (my bigger monitor wiggles a tiny bit when I'm vigorously typing but it's not a big deal), and it's easy to move up and down. I've been using it about 30 minutes to an hour at a time with sitting breaks in between, since I read it's good to build up to standing all day. I'm waiting for a standing desk pad to arrive, and then my set up will be even better. ... show more

  • Good when it finally worked
The color & quality really cannot be beat. The height is adjustable. The set-up was very easy. However, the difficult part was when I first used it by raising it, I was unable to lower it. I tried various ways to try to lower it. The instructions were unclear in what to do if it was stuck. Tried loosening the screws, but still no luck. Called customer service, who said that because it is new, I should put it on the floor and put some weight on it in order to lower it. I tried that multiple times, practically putting all my body weight on it and still did not work. It got to a point where I was ready to give up. Finally what I ended up doing was loosening various screws and wiggling the springs a few times and that did the job. I was able to lower it. Then I was able to raise it & lower it again. Guess it needs to be used several times before it will work more smoothly. I have yet to actually use it as a stand-up desk, but knowing that it can be raised and lowered is what I need for now. Again, it is very nice & quite sturdy. I like that it also included an area to hold my phone. ... show more

  • Ease of use and value for the dollar
Size: 36" Color: Black
I had a high-end hydraulic standing desk mechanism at work. In March 2020 we all became remote. Since then I've been trying in vain to figure out something that would allow me the same option to sit or stand (without spending the $1500 that the one in my office had cost). So glad I found this! It's very easy to use, sturdy and provides ample space for two monitors. This is totally worth the price and has made all the difference. ... show more
