I wanted to like this cushion. It has a lot going for it! It has a non-slip backside, so it won'/can't slid off the wheelchair easily. It has a great thickness, so it is very comfortable for an elderly person to use all day. BUT.... if an elderly person has an accident while in their wheelchair, it stinks to high heaven and never is scent free again, there is always an odor. No one wants to stink or have their wheelchair stink. It's embarrassing for elderly people, because although their sense of smell isn't great anymore, younger people still have working olofactory glands. I wish it was truly water and scent proof.
