Excellent plate for people who have hand issues. It saves a lot of mess and effort for people with MS and other issues that can impact their grasp and mobility. An OT told me to look at this type of dish for my husband. I'm glad I did. It is easier to use, microwavable, and dishwasher safe.

These plates are a tough plastic and the rim rises and falls in height around the outside. underneath is a rubber circle to keep the bowl in place while the person is scooping the food to the edge of the rim to pick up the food. The blue really makes the food pop if you are using it for a person of dementia which I am. I would definitely recommend this size of plate because it is smaller than a regular dinner plate.

Great for the one handed to be able to scoop food and not push it off the edge of the plate. Great tool/plate. The silicone keeps coming off - so we removed it.put a silicone placemats down instead.

These are very helpful for my 91 year old dad. He eats in his recliner as he has mobility issues. These really helped him to keep the food on the plate and not fall off. I have purchased several sets.

I bought this one for a few reasons. 1) Similar scoop plates I looked at didn't have a curved "scooped" edge like this one does. Others had taller flat edges instead. With a taller flat edge, food might get pushed up, up, and over the side of a flat edge. I think the curved edge is an important part of getting the food onto a spoon or fork. 2) The size of this is good for us. It's not a huge plate, but it's big enough. I'm happy with the size. Measure some of your regular plates and see what you think. I would not call this tiny, like some other plates I read about. 3) I like that there's a flat outer rim to hold the plate by, so other people's fingers do not go inside the plate while carrying and gripping the plate. I wasn't sure I'd like the blue color, and I originally wanted white, but you know what? If you're buying this for someone who's living at a facility, the blue will help the kitchen find it better and faster! So that ended up being a plus! :) The 2 pack is also helpful in case one is in the dishwasher. Overall I like these. They're working well.

They are true to size. Great for some that is disabled and has trouble getting food on their Fork or spoon. With the lip on the side th assist them it help out greatly! Easily washs up and doesn't stain. Can use for hot or cold food.

The description says that these plates are ceramic. They are not ceramic, they are polypropylene just like the other blue spill-proof scoop plates available from Vive. It is a fine product of its type and the price is comparable to other plastic scoop plates but do not be fooled into thinking it is ceramic.
