Unfortunately my sister had a stroke. It progressed affecting her hands seizing up making it hard to impossible to feed herself. They gave her something just like the above but it was so heavy and the plastic (or whatever it was) surrounding it was so large even I would have trouble using it. I saw these online and purchased a set. Do you know the nursing home seeing how good these were went ahead and purchased several more sets!. Not only to assist my sister but future residents with the same problem.

I got these for my mom who had a stroke 2 yrs ago. She was right handed and now has to be left handed. She was doing really well attempting to eat but after awhile I saw frustration. These have made a difference in the amount of food that actually gets to her mouth! She’s still “ learning “ not to bend her wrist just move towards her mouth. They are light weight, sturdy, the nubs on the side give her a spot to put her fingers so they’re not slippery .

Found these spoon fork with silicon covered handle for my mom, whose hands experiencing shaking. It's hard for her to use regular spoon fork as they are slippery. These really help my mom very much. Would recommend for someone who has shaking hands.
