I had a stroke a few years back and it has left me partially disabled, and while I am not confined to a wheelchair, I do occasionally need to use it if we are going to be out for an extended period of time or when I may be required to travel over larger distances. This cushion solved the issue of the chair making me feel like I was sitting on a rubber swing set seat. It wheelchair seat isn't terribly uncomfortable, but this little cushion has made it much easier and provided much more comfort by, in essence, making the seat easier to move around in. I thank God I'm not in the wheelchair all the time, but this has certainly made the times I am in it more comfortable. When I'm not in it it's easy to fold up and store with the chair, or lately, my wife has been using it in a chair she sits at to work from home. She likes the amount of padding it has, providing added cushioning and support without raising her up too much. All in all a very useful purchase.

I don’t use a wheelchair, yet, but I am pushing 70 and can no longer sit on chairs with little to no cushioning. This pad fits my home office chair just nicely and helps to not cut off my circulation to certain parts of the lower body I’d much rather not have go numb. As for construction, this is, essentially, high density foam with a durable and easy to clean polyester outside covering. One design feature I like is the inclusion of a curved surface on one side for covering areas of your existing seat that may have bowed (“hammocked” in the ad). However, not everything is perfect and there are a couple points to ponder: The 16 x 16 inch small size, which I got, had no markings for front or rear. I guess it just goes anyway you want it as long as you feel comfortable. The “discreet, hidden zipper” is so discreet and hidden it doesn’t exist. Had two other people look at this cushion and there is no zipper - period. As for pricing, you might be surprised to find out this is not that much more expensive than the poorly made cushions often sold in physical retail stores.

I caretake for an elderly family member where I drive her to her doctors appointments with the aid of a wheelchair. The cushioning on the wheelchair is thin and makes her uncomfortable during the trips, so I ordered this for her. The cushion is fairly firm, but there is enough give to make the ride a lot more comfortable for her. It's so comfortable that she uses it for a cushion when she sits on our recliner. It's the perfect size for anything she needs! We are very happy with the order, and 100% recommend this to any wheelchair bound individual that needs a new pad for their wheelchair!

I'm really not sure what the purpose is of this insert is intended to do. I got it to see if it would be a benefit for a family member in a wheelchair and we tried it and it was nothing more than a folded board that's hard and has virtually no cushioning of any kind. We put it on her wheelchair and her reaction was OMG, this is like sitting on plywood. I suspect it's intended to help with the sagging of older wheelchairs but it was simply worse than nothing and after 5 minutes we put her old stuff back. I tried it just on a chair and it was just like sitting on hard board. It was very disappointing.

The media could not be loaded. This is just as described. It is thin and foldable, which is great for a wheelchair. I actually used it to replace the cushioning in my blown out office chair. It actually worked perfect. The only thing that I don’t love is the seam because you can feel it when you sit. However, if using in a wheelchair, I think this would be really useful because you can fold it right with the wheelchair. The only thing is it very hard. After a while of sitting it gets uncomfortable.

This folding seat cushion is made of a very firm foam that will not easily bend or squish, intended to provide firm support for an otherwise less comfortable sling seat of a wheelchair or canvas camp chair. It is cut with tapered edges to fit the curve of the canvas chair seat rather than bend and sink like a standard cushion. The fabric cover is smooth and easy to wipe clean. And the cushion folds in half for easy storage and transportation in a tote bag. Note: If unfamiliar with various types of wheelchair cushions and the reasons for them, this one would be for very short term use if using alone as it is too firm for hours of continuous use. It is simply meant to even out the sag of a standard canvas sling chair. A softer, appropriately supportive foam, gel, or inflatable cushion would be needed on top of this one for a person needing to be in the chair for long periods of time.

I got this solid for my auntie’s wheelchair, and she absolutely loves it. It is firm and sturdy design completely gets rid of that hammocking sag. It gives her the support she needs, while still being comfortable enough for daily use. She feels more stable and her posture has improved noticeably. The non slip surface means it stays right in place, and it’s so easy to keep clean with just a quick wipe. She did mention she wishes it were a little thicker, but even so, she’s genuinely happy with how much better her chair feels. It’s practical, well made, and has made a real difference in her comfort.

I use this for my 83 year old mothers wheel chair. It does help keep her balance and upright. She says it feels sturdier when she's trying to stand. It easily wipes clean when need be and folds easily for storage when folding wheel chair.
