I got this grabber when I was going to have surgery a few years ago. I've had another that folds in the middle but it isn't as strong as this one. I'm a senior citizen and if my back is acting up these grabbers are great to save bending over. I use it for yard work, picking up fallen twigs, cuttings from shrubs, etc. In the house, I have used it for getting thing off and onto high shelves so I don't have to climb on a stool. This is sturdy enough to pick up quite heavy objects from the floor. But it can also pick up very small things off the floor. This is a great product with many uses and will last for years.

this is an incredible grabber. I can pick up the smallest things ,, like tiny plastic tooth pics, pieces of paper. I use it to turn on and off a multi-plug light switch by my work table. I keep it right by my work bench and use it every day. I dont need aid with high reach, but I cant bend over so getting things off the floor is my need, This grabber is perfect!!

This product woks excellently, and is made better than many out there. I use this in my workvan to get things from the far shelf, which it has done very well. Yesterday I tried to pick up something a little bit heavy, and the cable connection broke. So, very useful, but not for heavy objects. (maybe 5 lbs or more)

My very first one of these has lasted over 7 years. That is almost used everyday. I realize it was getting worn out. I was hoping that Amazon's still had these and they do. The bargain for this was unbelievable. For a couple dollars more you get two of them. So if this is made the same way they did 7 years ago I should be good for at least 14 more years.

This reacher is worthless. Upon receiving, it was perfectly clear that it wouldn't last long. It was cheaply made. It was flimsy. It lasted just over a month. Their is a very thin wire inside connecting the gripper to the handle. When the wire broke, I was left holding just the handle. The entire rest of the gripper just fell apart onto the floor! The item is a scam. It was never designed to be durable at all. Think of the crap sold at a 99 cent store. Very cheap Chinese crap that is still being sold at Amazon. It was a highly rated product too. That just shows that the internet "best rated" websites are nothing more than a scam. Absolutely no one actually holding this in their hand is going think that it is worth a five star anything. To sum up this review, don't waste your time on this Amazon item. You might as well give the ~ $25 to a charity. At least then, you will momentarily feel good about the transaction.
