This is a 100% must have for anyone with Viture glasses. You have the full capabilities of the glasses plugged into a device without having to carry anything in your hands (unlike other companion units such as XREALs beam pro). It works well for simple tasks but have found where it truly shines is watching movies and streaming games (I use GeForce Now). Although you can pair keyboards and mice with the device, I wouldn't recommend it as a productivity powerhouse but its nearly essential for a seamless content consumption device. ... show more

    • Interface takes getting used to, phone may be needed for controlling the device
Initially, I bought a used/returned, "like new" device. The fan made a fast clicking/cricket like noise, which was clearly defective. The original/older neckband used to get noisy but it would be just a regular fan noise. Update: a very responsive support! I bought a new unit, instead; back to just fan noise, no clicking, at this time. The review below applies. The new interface needs some getting used to. Using phone as a trackpad is doable and when one gets used to it, it is almost better than the original buttons. Obviously, now you have glasses, the neckband and the phone, so not quite as ideal, as before. Still, once mastered, a trackpad is a trackpad. I wonder what happens if two of those neckbands are next to each other, since the app just connects via the Bluetooth without asking for approval. Would I end up controlling someone else's neckband? I have not tried the gesture control or more advanced features. An upgraded Android compared to earlier model is sure better for security and features. I would agree with other review(s) that earlier interface was simpler and easier to use. However, the new one is basically Google TV, so easy to figure out. Now, the alternative fancy 3D-ish UI mode will take some time! :-) I loved the 3D content playback support. Not sure how much content there is for it, but I missed it ever since I gave up my 3D TV. While 3D movies are often a hit and miss, some of the nature shows I watched were incredible. Update: Just had a chance to try it out on the plane. While the simulated large screen was fun, the built-in glasses audio is adequate in a quiet room but utterly useless on the noisy plane. Pro tip: 1. Use pre-paired Bluetooth airbuds (many BT devices on the flight!), or 2. Turn your head toward the seat (not stereo, but better than impossible to hear sound). Also, had a chance to test the gesture control. It works, but needs some improvement for gesture recognition. Also, while for occasional navigation it is manageable, my hand was getting a bit tired after some gesturing. There might be a better technique, perhaps? Cannot wait to test the latest upgrade, once I upgrade it. ... show more

    • I'm starting to get it breadth of what it can do.
I received a unit which ran VERY hot, and left a low star review. Viture reached out to me to send a replacement within days of the review. It's great customer service. This device is hard to explain, but it basically makes for a standalone XR system - that doesn't require your phone or computer. Additionally it allows wireless connection to Game Systems like Xbox or PS. There's still a lot I need to learn to unlock the full potential of this device. ... show more

Not worth the money at all! It would not even connect to my home WiFi. Also, the gesture control is completely useless. It has a LONG way to come before it’s worth anywhere close to asking price

Hand recognition very spotty, works sometimes...great to not have glasses attached to phone but defeats purpose if you have to use your phone as a mouse. Hopefully updates will fix it. Customer service slow at replying

    • Unnecessary when there's a much cheaper option.
The product worked just fine and in no way against the advertisement for it. While it is still a good product, it doesn't do anything special that you can't do already with your phone and a Bluetooth neckband speaker. Which would be the much cheaper option. Feel free to buy it if you just want to feel fancy and rich to show off to friends, or save $300 and buy the speakers I mentioned to pair with your phone. ... show more
