    • Awesome addition to a great blender
Please check the video review posted by Leo. It shows easiest way to get the jars to be recognized by ascent vitamix, without having to align the almost invisible arrows!! Thank you Leo!! If not for your video suggestion, I would have returned the product. I use the same method to untwist a little bit before inverting and removing the blade base. Works like a charm. Very useful for on the go blends, small blending or grinding needs. Must have for vitamix lovers ... show more

    • You have to find the secret arrows to use
I almost sent this back thinking that they were defective. For the life of me I couldn't get my A3500 to recognize the base for these. I searched all through the Vitamix help info and there was nothing about this issue at all. I finally did a search through DuckDuckGo and found a YouTube video showing the two almost invisible arrows that need to be aligned (or "within range"). I unpacked the box again and followed the video instructions. Woohoo! The base works and I can use the two containers! I'm so glad because the 64 oz container is just too big for a single smoothie! ... show more

There were some bad reviews, and I was hesitant. After all, they are expensive, and it would be quite an investment. But I’m glad I made the purchase. I no longer have to use the big container for an individual drink. There is a little challenge putting on the blade and getting the cup to sync with your machine, but once you get the hang of it, you will be satisfied. These cups are durable and great accessories to an already wonderful machine, “The Vitamix.” Many thanks. ... show more

    • Literally the worst blender ever--Sticking with my Ninja
Literally the equipment I've ever purchased. Expected more out of Vitamix. Pros: 1) Lid is easy to clean--food doesn't get stuck under gasket unlike my old Ninja smoothie blender Cons: 1) Difficult to screw on and off the lid because it's very large, causing cramps in my hands each time I use it 2) Doesn't blend well at all. I have to constantly remove and unscrew the cup to add more liquids and move ingredients around because the blades are too small and flat and just spin around below the ingredients--I do not have the problem in my cheap, old Ninja. For example, I refroze a smoothie (from a top-rated smoothie shop so we know it was done right originally) I couldn't finish and went to reblend it the next day to consume it. I added a 1/4 cup of coconut water to wet it and after 5 repeated tries to crush, add liquid and blend it, it was still solid stuck inside the cup like an ice cube, so I dumped it into my old Ninja, hit blend and it was back in it's original smoothie form within 30 seconds. 3) Smoothie setting doesn't actually work with this device--it over blends it and turns into smoothie soup (or as mentioned above, doesn't blend at all). ... show more

I have been looking at these blending cups for over a year, they were the perfect tool my Vitamix was missing…However, after reading all of the bad reviews I was a little bit undecided. Than one day a friend of mine bought the new Vitamix and the blending cups all at once and she said she absolutely loved everything. At that point I decided to go ahead and purchase them as well. I was super happy with my blending cups from the very first time I used them, I never got any problems at all, and honestly I do not understand all of the bad reviews that I read about these cups, I just wish I had disregard those reviews and bought them much earlier. I have never had a problem with the machine not detecting the cups, I mean, not once! The blending power and performance is the same as with the big jar, of course you have to use less quantity but that’s obvious…And if you place the items, within the cup, in the right order and with the right amount it is no problem at all. They are easy to use because they’re much smaller than the big jar, so for small things or single smoothies they are just perfect! They are perfect even to make small mounts of butters, like peanut butter, almonds etc. I even use them to make grated Parmesan cheese 😉 Again, I wish I had bought them sooner! Please disregard the bad reviews, they are flawed. I should have known better, Vitamix would have never make such a poor product as depicted from those bad reviews. Anyways, I trusted the company in the end, bought them, and now I am super happy and satisfied with the product! Thank you Vitamix 🙏 ... show more

    • Doesn’t blend well
I really wanted to like this product. I love my Vitamix blender, and thought this would be easier for my almost daily smoothies. I read about the difficulty getting the blade part screwed on just right for it to register with the base and work, but found the alignment arrows, so that wasn’t that much of an issue. Unfortunately, I found that I generally like a little more than this holds, and most importantly, it just doesn’t blend well. For example, blending a banana berry smoothie (with blackberries and raspberries), the seeds don’t get blended at all (in contrast to the regular sized container, in which they blend completely smooth). It makes for a nice, insulated drink/smoothie bottle, but it’s very expensive for just that. ... show more
