Happy with the weights, they do what their supposed to, but the plastic case is made of thin plastic and arrived with one of the hinges broken. It was delivered in an envelope without any padding. I don't really care about the case but its never a pleasant experience opening damaged items.

This is one of those items that I have been meaning to get for ages but just never got around to doing it. I saw this set which would be adequate for my needs, so I ordered it. At first glance I was a little disappointed as the case was plastic and very cheap looking. Appearances can be deceptive, so I opened it up and checked the weights which included 5g, 10g, 2 x 20g, 50g, and 100g. Additionally there is a small pair of plastic tweezers for manipulating the weights. The only way to see if the weights were properly machined was to try them out on a set of scales that I knew to be correct having tested them with a friend's weights. Considering the cheapness of the case I was really quite surprised to see that every single weight was exactly spot-on. Knowing that means I can now keep an eye on the several sets of scales I own as they can and do eventually misread package weights. Overall, yes, the packaging looks cheap and the 5g weight will fall out of its slot when the lid is closed. I put a small piece of bubble wrap in the lid of mine and that stopped the issue. The weights themselves are exactly what you need to check the accuracy of your scales.

I got this set of weights to verify the linearity of a new digital auto-trickling reloading scale that I recently purchased. I already have a regular digital scale with a set of calibrated weights at the high and low ends of the scale's specifications, so I was able to use the previously calibrated scale to verify the accuracy of this new set, and use these new weights as a transfer standard for another different balance. Having worked in the Metrology field, I understand how important it is to have properly calibrated measuring devices, and when doing precision reloading, accuracy and repeatability is critical. This is a basic OIML Class M1 weight set. It is equivalent (or slightly better) in accuracy specifications to a ASTM Class 3 weight set, or a NIST Class "F" set. The weights I received were free from oxidization and accurate within the OIML Class M1 specifications. There was no calibration certificate or data supplied with the weight set. The case is made of thin plastic, so there's not a lot of protection of the weights themselves, but it does organize them and hold the tweezers. For those that don't know, you never want to touch precision weights with bare hands, as the oils and salts from your hands will add to the mass of the weights, and can cause oxidization.

I did not receive the weight set shown in the product pictures, but a similar one that is in essence the same thing. The finish quality of the weights is so-so, but I only care that the weights are accurate and to that I can only assume they are (I have no reason to believe they're not accurate). I actually think the storage case is not too bad if only it kept the smallest weight from floating around freely. Be very careful opening the case as you're likely to have the 5g weight roll out and away from you before you even realize it. I padded the 5g weight parking spot with a bit of foam to keep it in place.

This is a set of weights to use on a balance scale or calibrate a scale. The kit comes with six weights ranging from one to 100 grams. The kit also comes with an inexpensive set of tweezers to assist you in placing the weights delicately. The kit comes in a plastic organizer/storage box. I've tested the weights, and they are accurate. The tweezers are inexpensive but strong enough to handle the largest weights yet controllable enough to handle the entire range of weights carefully. The case is made with affordable injection molded plastic. While the case is compact for ease of storage and is organized well, it has a cheap feel.
