It comes on utterly adorable spools that make you feel like your nan is in the room and it has a lovely carboard box it arrives in - it is in a sense, giftable - if you have someone who would want velvet ribbons. However, it is small, very small, and not overly substantive in any way. It's quality is on par with the 8-9 dollar ribbon/10 yards...so saying all of that, in my humble opinion you are by FAR better off getting one of those!
