This wall charger was able to charge anything I threw at it with some caveats. For example it will charge your Samsung device, but not at 45 Watts, it will only charge it at a max of 15 watts, this is due to Samsung's proprietary power delivery. It charges my laptop that utilizes the 100 watts and it does push out 100 watts, I have a USB power tester that tells me how many volts, amps and watts is being used when I connect it, the laptop was using 19 volts at 5 amps, so not 100% 100 watts, but that's all the laptop needed! If you are charging your laptop and plug in other devices in the other ports, it will lower the laptop charging to 60 Watts so the other ports can have their 12 and 18 watt output availability (makes perfect sense to me). Some of not most of you know these device's get warm, for those that do not know it is 100% normal and is nothing to worry about, think about how warm your laptop charger gets while charging up your laptop, this does the same thing but in a smaller form factor, and if I do say it dissipates the heat well! ... show more

    • Surprisingly excellent product coming from Viotek

I personally know of Viotek from when they still produced 3rd party AIB cards for AMD and from some of their lower end monitors. When seeing this pop up, I didn't realize they had diversified their products to include chargers and docks among other things. If you're worried that Viotek is a no name brand, don't. Viotek is a fairly long established US based company in Boston and their products from what I've seen over the years have been at the very least, decent. The charger comes with 4 ports, with the top supporting a full 100w when only using that or 65w when other ports are occupied. It appears that other reviews are confused about wattage and how the charger can support more than 100w when combined if all the ports are used, it equals roughly 107w. The charger is actually correct as the charger can provide a little more than 100w but some of it is lost through efficiency and heat, thus how 107w total can become 100w in the end. I get the full 100w from the top port and all of the other 3 ports work fine when I'm charging using all 3 ports as well. I have to dock off a point for portability though as while it is fairly compact, it is not nearly as small as something like the Anker 737 which is only missing one port yet is significantly smaller. No major problems with heat and the build quality seems to be solid enough that if someone wants a fairly portable charger made from a reputable company, I can definitely recommend this. ... show more

I was getting sick of traveling with two different adapters: One of USB PD devices, and another for USB-A cable charging devices. This combines two of those chargers in one. In my situation, I use a USB PD port for a laptop, the other for my phone, and a USB-A port to charge my watch. I still have one extra port left over if I need to power something else. Note that if you use more than one USB PD port then the top port drops to 65W instead of 100W. Not an issue for me, since the laptops I have do fine with a 45W or 65W USB PD port. The USB-A ports max out at 12W each. The build quality is nice. The plastic doesn't feel too cheap. Now, no cables are included, which could be a disadvantage for some. However, I like to invest in higher quality cables, so I would rather the money go into the design of the charger itself, rather than include some cheap cables. ... show more

The VisionTech multiport USB charger is a surprisingly high quality charger that's powerful enough to charge 4 things at the same time. Let's start with the one negative I have with the charger. For me, I prefer to have a cable that can plug into the power brick rather than a brick that directly goes into an outlet. Is it a big deal? Not really. I'm sure some people prefer a brick that goes directly into the outlet as it's less to worry about if you have to carry it around. Now, for what I like about the charger. I like that there are 2 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports - so you can charge a fair amount of things with this. The very first USB-C port can do 65-100 watts, but it'll only hit 100 watts if nothing else is being charged - keep that in mind if you need to charge multiple devices. The other USB-C port does 18 watts, and the two USB-A both do 12 watts. With this charger, I'm able to power my Steam Deck, iPhone, iPad Pro, and one other device. Don't get me wrong, the Steam Deck and whatever else is plugged into the second USB-C port are going to be the ones that have the fastest charging, but it's enough for my needs. Great for versatility, but docking 1 star because it doesn't support super fast charging. I like that I can plug it in by the couch and have chargers for multiple devices in one outlet. I was able to get 26watts in 20v mode which is what is the rated output for that mode. If your device uses 12v or 15v mode then you should get the full 30 watts. Keep in mind that it's not quite enough to be used with a Nintendo Switch incase that's what you're needing it for. The overall 35w is when you have 2 devices connected with port 1 supporting 20w and the port 2 supporting 15w.
