Worked great for the first 3 weeks. Then the lens you look through popped inside and I can’t get any accurate readings. If I would of known it wasn’t made to last a little longer I would have spent more on a different one.

The spring in the battery door for the negative side of the battery was broken off. They are replacing it now so i will update you when I receive the new one.

When hunting or golfing, even disc golf - a range finder can be a good tool for me to use. This is a high accuracy laser range finder that has many built in features. It has a listed accuracy of +/- 1 foot at 1000 yards. I believe that is a good estimate as the measurement was on when I checked it over a known distance. This compact device requires that I use a non-rechargeable 3.0V Lithium Battery CR2. One is included. Amazon Basics has a 4 pack of CR2 batteries for less than a buck each. I wish the maker had built more room in the device to allow use of CR123 cells that are just a bit bigger, have more power and also can be purchased in a rechargeable cell version. The directions need to be printed bigger and could be better at this price point. I also wish the device had an eye shield rubber cup to make seeing the internal display easier. This was not particularly easy to use with my eyeglasses. It does have a rotating diopter lens adjustment which is nice. I liked that it has an auto off feature to save the battery. The included case protects the instrument quite well. Of course because this sends out a powerful laser beam to range an object, never stare at the beam or aim it at a person or plane. Retinal injury is not reversible so use all precautions and be safe.
