It's a soft topper with a slight scent that's overall nice to sleep on. If you ask why 4 and not 5 stars, it's simple: on a king size mattress, the topper still moves around. We've strapped it on and put a fully encased cover on it, yet it still has a favored side. The straps don't work so well for the size of the mattress. Maybe smaller beds won't have this problem. We'll try readjusting and maybe adding something to the straps for support.

Ordered this back in March while I was pregnant. I was having some rough sciatic issues (from pregnancy), and had chronic back pain (medic for 10 years) pre pregnancy. I'd get up in the morning and feel so stiff and standing up made me want to cry. I'd have to take several steps crouched over amd slowly move myself up. It was rough! After a few nights, morning was not near as bad! After I gave birth, the sciatic issues vanished. Over one month and I don't want to get out of brd,bed, it's so freaking comfortable. I'm not tossing and turning, using extra pillows, or dreading mornings. Definitely worth the purchase! No smell, but then again I opened the windows in the room and let it rise. It does shift a little, but that is not worth deducting a star as everything about it is superb!

It has the perfect balance between softness and firmness. My wife had back pain with our matress, we got a new one, and pain persisted. Finally I got this mattress topper and the next day she woke up without pain. It has a luxury feeling to it and is quite comfortable. The main thing I did not like is that it was creased due to the way it was folded in the box. I wish it shipped rolled and not folded. Some of the crease went away the next day, but not completely.

I wanted to wait a month to do a review on this topper. I am 5'11 165LBS and for many years I have not had good sleep. Often, many times (5-7) a night I would wake up in pain. I tried many different toppers, and different mattresses. I decided to try this one as I was tired, no pun intended, of waking up all night in pain and not getting any sleep. I purchased the 3.5 weight mattress topper. The first night I slept 3 hours straight, which is something that I never do. I was actually stunned. The next night I also slept 3 hours straight. For me this was like seemingly impossible. Each night since I've felt I have had deeper moments of sleep. I still wake up often, but no in pain like I have for several years. I sleep on my stomach and this has been a blessing so far. I mentally check my body out for where the pain might be and don't find it, I would do this on other mattress toppers and would have 4 or 5 places that hurt. After a month I am very pleased and enjoy the pain free sleep I get with many 3 hours of deep sleep. I would recommend this mattress topper and perhaps even suggest the 4 weight. My only concern currently is how long the mattress topper will last, but as of now I would certainly recommend and buy again.

This mattress pad is just memory foam, as expected. It does have the straps to keep it in place, a plus a it still has a touch of slide, possibly because my mattress is so thin. It's not cooling at all. I haven't noticed any temperature difference from just the mattress. It's flattened noticeably on the side I sleep on. This might just be breaking in, as it doesn't seem to be sagging in the middle. There is a noticeable difference between sides though. I'm planning on turning it to even out the wear in hopes that it will last longer. This pad is denser than most, so it's pretty firm and you don't get that sinking, cloud-like sensation. Denser memory foam tends to last longer, so I'm hoping that turns out to be true. My back is sensitive to a poor quality mattress. This improves the feel, but it's not a long- term alternative to a high quality mattress.

We ordered this for our RV mattress that was simply awful to sleep on. I am incredibly sensitive to smells and I was super concerned that when this arrived the odor would make me sick- but surprisingly it wasn't bad at all. There was no noticeable odor unless I put my nose right on it, and even then it was faint and disappeared after two nights of leaving it to air out in our RV. Just got back from 5 weeks on the road with this mattress topper and we've never slept better. Within days of getting home and sleeping on our high quality mattress in our bedroom, my husband's back was acting up again and I had pain in my hips that returned- so we just ordered another one for our bed at home!

So read how much it is suppose to help back/shoulder ache so I decided to give it a try. Boy were they wrong. I woke up about 2 hours being on it with such pain! Tried to continue to sleep on it to give it a chance- nope terrible! Sending it back is a pain! Because it is compressed and vacuum sealed and King size, I had to go to Uhaul and buy the biggest box to fit it in. Too much hassle!
