  • VR drum set ready for the main stage... nope.
Really wish this VR Drum Set would work better. I can sum it up its problem with one word… COMPLEX! Not always an issue, but one that can create frustration. Let me try to explain. I do have some experience here, been playing percussion for over 30 years. So here goes… Charging everything went well. The drum sticks took a little longer to charge then the rest, but not a problem. Connecting all the parts, via Bluetooth, went without a hitch too. Surprised how all the parts worked together in creating one instrument. The foot pads were very accurate, but the drum sticks were something else. The drum sticks have a lot to keep in mind when using. They will create different sounds by the degree you are holding the drum stick. You will need to hold the drum stick at two different levels, being 30 degrees, and 60 degrees. Please see picture #3 for a better description. Also the height of the drum stick is taken in account as well. Putting this all together is not the easiest thing to accomplish, it takes time and practice. But unfortunately the detrimental icing on the cake is drum stick complexity. So many variables in using the drum sticks, you can end up playing the Hi Hat rather than the snare. I have yet to trigger the floor tom as well. The way these sticks trigger is dependent on their angle, and height. You need to be very accurate in placement! Way too accurate in my opinion. Will most likely exasperate younger players. But the proverbial icing on the cake is “It’s hard to tell if drum stick placement is off!”, or if Lag is rearing its ugly head? I will try to play around more with this VR contraption, and see if I can get it more user friendly, and let you know... I keep asking myself, “What would Neil Peart do?” :) ... show more

  • Good for space saving and intro to drumming
The idea is great, but the execution isn't flawless. Sometimes randomly I randomly thought I hit the snare and I hear a crash cymbal instead. To be fair I have a set of pretty expensive electric drums that I like to use. I got this for space saving, noise control(real drums don't have a way to control volume) and getting practice in just about anywhere with headphones. I find that I don't use it much though because of the accidental cymbal hits. They aren't spaced the same as my electric drums and that makes them hard for me to play. It comes with the controller, two clips you hook one to each sock on your feet and plus the drum sticks. One thing I didn't like is that it doesn't come with usb charging cables. You need 5 of them if you charge everything at once. I was disappointed that it didn't come with the cables. I didn't like the documentation. The directions are very small print and very brief. They need much more detailed instructions. I would highly recommend the designers to create several videos on getting started and troubleshooting. In the end, this will not replace your drum-set, but it might be a compliment to it for people wanting to get in the drum sticks and beat practice. I think the price is a bit high for what you get. I would rate this more as a nice toy. It is really nice that it doesn't take up much space and it doesn't make noise that others hear. For some people that is a real win when it comes to drums. Happy Drumming. ... show more

  • VR Drums with all drums sounds
The media could not be loaded. This VR drums set is a great way to learn about drumming. It was very small, came in a small box and had 5 pieces, two drumsticks, two small pieces to connect to the feet for the base sounds, and a receiver that connects to the speaker (you need your own speaker). It has good quality so far. It is hard to figure out but we are learning. However, I think its a bit pricey. ... show more
