  • Works great
Style: 34" 1440p 144hz 21:9 GNV34DBE2
It runs fast on DP, color is outstanding after a tweak, after you dial in screen the wonky stand is not an issue, very pleased. Will buy again.

  • An amazing monitor with a bad stand at a great price!
Style: 34" 1440p 144hz 21:9 GNV34DBE
I use this monitor for gaming and video editing on a PC and 2018 iMac respectively. First, this monitor is HUGE! Being ultrawide, it’s not as tall as even the 30” monitor it replaced. Make sure you have horizontal room before purchasing! The stand that’s included isn’t good. No height adjustment and no rotation. If you get a VESA mount like I did, know the screw holes are recessed into the back of the monitor fairly deep (especially the bottom two). I ended up needing to buy more screws as the ones that came with my mount wouldn’t reach (it uses metric screws, M4-0.7, and I used 40mm length in my case). If you order a mount with the monitor, do yourself a favor and order the screws at the same time! Finally, the screen itself. The picture quality is amazing! It’s mentioned before how you can’t adjust the brightness with HDR active, which is frustrating at first, but not a major deal. Once you have your brightness set where you want (I use around 65, with a contrast of 55), enable HDR on the monitor, then in Windows/software, and it looks great! Some games (Assassins Creed Odyssey) started out too bright with everything washed out, but if you lower the in-game brightness down to 20%, it looks significantly better! Others (Fuser) look amazing out of the box! After using this for a while, I can’t imagine going back to a normal wide screen for gaming! Ultra wide is much more immersive! Just make sure you have a graphics card capable of running the extra resolution! I had to turn down the graphical settings in several games to achieve a playable frame rate. One more minor niggle is if the frame rate drops too low during a dark scene (like sub-20), there tends to be a slight flicker every few seconds. Not enough for me to really get annoyed, but I could see how it can put someone off. Having the extra screen real estate for video editing is not something I knew I needed until I got this monitor! The resolution of the iMac may be higher, but the extra space is a lot better for timeline adjustments. With multiple DisplayPort inputs, having the side-by-side feature is great as well for multiple computers. Coupled with a program like Synergy to use the same mouse and keyboard across a Mac and PC makes this feature seamless! It has a picture-in-picture option as well, but even at the largest setting, it’s still a bit too small to do much without zooming in. The only option I’d like to see with the side-by-side feature is to have the monitor report back a native resolution of 1720x1440 while this mode is active in order to not automatically cut every other vertical line. Otherwise, it’s an awesome feature to have! All in all, I can’t recommend this monitor enough, especially for the price! I was shopping for a new monitor for months, and this is the only one that checked all my boxes within my price range (curved, ultra wide, HDR, 144Hz, and sub-$500). After using it, I couldn’t be happier! ... show more

  • Good for the price, with a few compromises
Style: 34" 1440p 144hz 21:9 GNV34DBE
UPDATE: I've owned and used this monitor for about 2 years now and it still works great, I like it a lot. I still wish the stand was more adjustable but other than that I can still easily recommend this monitor, especially at the price its at now as of August 29th 2022. This is the best price:quality ultrawide monitor I was able to find on amazon, and trust me I looked through a lot. This monitor is a great resoultion, having come from a 1080p monitor text is noticably better and makes reading text on my other monitor a pain. As someone who's never used an ultrawide before, the width is fantastic, really I would prefer the extra width even if it meant being capped at 60hz. This monitor also works well with gsync compatibility, no issues that I've found so far. My only issues with this monitor are ghosting and the response time. You will not get more than a 6ms response time out of this monitor despite the inclusion of overdrive, it is possible but ruins the picture when any movement occurs. This monitor also suffers from noticable ghosting, some of the worst I've seen on a monitor I've purchased. The ghosting isn't terrible, but it is there and you will notice it. Viewing angles also aren't great as a result of this being a va panel, but that's to be expected. The stand is pretty unimpressive, being fairly low with no height adjust only tilt, but for the price I don't really mind. Tl;dr, here are my pros and cons after using this monitor for about half a month. PROS: - the best bang for your buck out of any ultrawide at this price point. No other monitor I've found offers BOTH 3440x1440 resolution AND a 144hz refresh rate for $400 - great curve, most monitors at this price range offer only a 1800r curve. Trust me a 1500r curve makes a big difference on a display this wide. - decent color reproduction. For a va panel it is about on par with my ips monitor, so no complaints there. CONS: - coming from a 1 ms response time monitor, the 6 ms response time is really not great for competitive games. I find myself often losing in games like overwatch or cs when I would have come out on top with my other monitor. - a fair amount of pointless features. The display is hdr compatible, but the hdr actually looks worse than default in every situation I've tried it in. The overdrive leaves horrible black streaks when moving in game, not worth using imo. Noise reduction seems to do nothing. - ghosting. This has to be my biggest complaint. As a result of this I simply cannot recommend for fast moving shooters. Overall, I really enjoy this monitor. It is a great deal in my opinion, and the pros really outweigh the cons for me. I love having the extra real estate on screen, especially for strategy games such as civ, hoi4, stellaris, europa, ect. It is also great for work as I can comfortably fit 2 windows or even 3 on screen. However I cannot recommend this monitor for fps, especially anything competitive. As a result of this I would not recommend making this your only monitor, since there are certain situations it simply underperforms in. If you play strategy games, I 100% can recommend this monitor and would encourage you to choose this one over similar monitors at this price point. Thanks for reading! ... show more

  • Fantastic Monitor
Style: 34" 1440p 144hz 21:9 GNV34DBE
I've had this monitor for over a year now and I'm finally writing this review. This monitor exceeded all my expectations; especially at the low price point. I use it for gaming and productivity and it does a great job for both. The screen is seamless and fluid when playing fast-paced FPS games and is surprisingly wider than expected for 34inches. I loved this Viotek monitor so much that I paired it with two of their 24 in-2k monitors to go on top for additional productivity. Don't overpay for monitors from other brands for similar specs. This monitor is great and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an ultrawide monitor. ... show more
