My new siding got damaged by the cement contractor that was pouring a new pebble sidewalk. While power washing the surface of the cement off of the pebbles the spray transferred some of the cement to the wall of the house. It wasn't really noticeable at first but by spring the cement had bleached out the vinyl siding and it had to be replaced. This tool allowed me to separate the siding that was bad without redoing the whole wall. It helped to join the previously installed siding to the new. It made my job much easier than it could have been.

These help. But the way to work on Vinyl siding seems to be as much luck as skill to catch the edge and be able to lever off the siding. Luckily I didn't need to pop much off, but it still sucked. You want to avoid the work if you can, but if you can't, these things seem to work pretty well.

Did not work well at all for my vinyl siding. It may be that it doesn't work on certain brands of siding and for other brands it works well. The angle of the tool is simply not right for my siding. It will not get under the lip. After countless frustrating attempts, I Tried to bend it to the correct angle, but the metal is so fragile that it broke. Disappointed, but worth a try for the price. I gave it a 2 because I did manage to get one or two pieces off with it and after reading the reviews I saw that some people had no issues with it.

They work, but zinc coated steel and probably won't hold up like a stainless or treated tool steel. But, I'm a home owner and don't plan on doing siding professionally. Not on your life!
