Used it to protect my carpet from my cats and it doesn’t have an issue doing that. My only complaint is shipping. I had 1 day shipping added for $10 and it took the amount of time that it would have if I had just done free shipping. That’s the only real negative thing I have to say. And if you’re using it to protect your carpet as I have been, I suggest seeing where you’re able to slide it under your base board and cutting it a little larger and sliding it under. Also get some carpet tape to make it stay in place better.

I bought this to stop air leaks in my window, even though it was not advertised for this purpose. It should be. If you have a window that seems to let in drafts no matter what you do (especially if there is a window a/c unit in it), this is the solution. Thicker plastic than those made for windows, just the right size for two or three windows, easy to measure and cut (box cutter). Easy to put up using an upholstery stapler (no tape needed. Our cold and drafty bedroom is now warm and toasty.

The material seems to be strong and it is very clear. It's hard to rate durability until it has been in service for a few years. Adhesives and tape seem to grip well on this material.
