I ordered this to replace an existing entry way mat by our front door. I really like the ornate pattern and neutral color palette of this mat and the size is perfect for most standard doors. It's very soft and easily folded out from its packaging. I took this picture right after placing it down but within 3 hours it laid completely flat and there are no lingering traces that it was once folded. The mat also includes floor adhesive strips so that you can position it on your floor and ensure that it doesn't move with traffic which is a nice feature if you are placing this by a door like us. The only thing about this mat that I don't love is how thin it is. I've ordered other similar rugs that have much more cush to them but this one is very thin. It's not something I'm using for comfort so I'm not concerned but I do wish it was slightly thicker so that it doesn't wear down easily over time. Overall, this is a really lovely mat- especially at this price point and I would recommend but be aware that it's not super thick and cushy, so best for a doormat or place where you don't need padding. ... show more

It is soft and washable but to do that they had to sacrifice it's integrity as a rug. It's more of a thick soft mat then a rug. It's also very pretty I hesitate to put my feed or shoes on it :(

This carpet looks great, and the cat loves how soft it is. I would describe the texture as more akin to a microfiber towel or polar fleece. It is currently in a living room where it doesn't get a lot of traffic. It does a reasonable job of not slipping around without any tape required (but recommended if a cat will be using it as a launch-pad). Ordered this because it is advertised as washable. Intent was to replace a plastic boot-mat for the winter, and wash as needed. However, the product is very light and thin feeling. I'm not sure how well it would hold up as a "door mat," and it looks really nice on the wood floor, so we decided to not use it in front of the door. I have not washed it yet but will update this if there are any problems after doing so. I really like it. It's a really great deal for how soft it is. I am absolutely shocked by how luxurious this rug feels. Honestly, I'm tempted to turn this into a pillow just to have an excuse to lay my head on it. I have two hand made silk rugs from Pakistan that previously were my most luxurious rugs but this surpasses those in texture. I was planning to add this to my patchwork of rugs for my Victorian themed parlor but now I'm thinking it's too good for that. I think I want it for my bedroom just so I can feel it under my feet every morning when I get out of bed. I don't know how they make this feel like fine silk. The size is as advertised. The pattern and colors are as good in person as in the photos. The stitching around the edge looks good and well made and durable. This is a short pile rug so not a lot of cushion to it but that doesn't really matter in light of the luxurious texture. The backing feels pretty tough for a short pile rug. I would say it's likely to last many years though I'm not going to put it in a high traffic area because it's just too nice to expose it to that kind of wear and tear. I need to add a photo as soon as I'm finished painting my living room, but let me just say, I ADORE this rug! It's velvet-soft, has a gorgeous pattern and looks super high end! I breed cats and have a small zoo and rugs are generally a no-go around here. This rug changes the game! I can throw it right in the washing machine!! I do not know how I lived without washable rugs!
