I bought this bookcase because of its size and oak look. I wanted it for a small space and to match another piece of oak furniture I already had. It works for both things. For an inexpensive piece of furniture it is fairly sturdy but the wood is pretty thin. The worst part about it is that it has to be fully assembled when it arrives and the assembly is complicated.     • Nice, once assembled
The finished product looks great. However, the company that made this doesn't know how to make wood joints with any degree of precision. I had to recut and sand an entire 2 foot joint to get it to fit where it was supposed to as the whole edge was cut too thick to fit in the groove it had to go into. So, don't order unless you have some woodworking experience., and if you do have experience, than you could probably build your own shelves from scratch in the time it took to put this together. ... show more
